Game limited CPU Clock speed at 1.6GHz

Hi,

please help to why my laptop when playing need for speed the CPU clock speed down to 1.6GHz so make my game play lag and shuttering.

When exit game CPU clock speed boots to 3.9GHz

Spec
DELL G7 7785

i7 8750H 2.2GHz

RAM 16

GPU GTX 1060

    i7 8750H 2.2GHz, but reach to 3.9 GHZ!!!!!

    1.6 GHZ, saving energy mode etc can get such clock.

    i didn't think it's issue on CPU, but yours. simply, ur CPU is workin as it do.

    It is likely your CPU is thermal throttling, you can tell that is the case if your fans are running at high speed constantly. Thanks.
