How Do You SAVE GAMEPLAY In NFS HEAT?!

I quit the game, went back in and it almost put me back at the beginning of the story solo mode. I mean....REALLY?! is this the state the game was released in?! and where are the NPC cars?! the city ...

    @jimmarshall Go back to your garage. it's poorly explained,as so much of the game is.
    don't worry though,the whole storyline will take less than 4 or 5 hours to complete

    so what you are telling me basically is that you have too complete the story line before it saves

      @Smokey2662 Are you "special"??? You just need to go back to your garage for a guaranteed save, I'm pretty sure it also sort of saves your "days" progress after each race, but which can be wiped out if you get busted or turn your system off

        no I'm not special! I've played NFS Heat for 68 Hours and all three times that I've left the game and went back in it began from the begging and it did show the logo on the bottom right corner of my screen that is supposed to mean its saving?
