Need For Speed Most Wanted Corrupting save game data on ps3

Same here buddy, 98% complete and like you i had to start from scratch, I'm never going to finish the game because i'm returning mine for a refund, I'll also be writing to the MD at EA Games, and to Sony in Europe, I'm not at all comfortable with having to turn off my PS3 in a manner not recommended by Sony, unfortunately when this game freezes it leaves the player with no option but to force a shutdown, I'm now less worried about corrupt data than i am about EA's faulty game damaging my PS3.

my save get corrupted too but this cause the game froze  while he was saving exemple start of any race if u press power bottom at same time he's froze its certainly ur save game ll be corrupted if u wait few minutes and turn off u don't loose ur save with me this procedure worked

This happened to me today! I was playing the online multiplayer on PSN & it crashed my PS3, when i restarted the consol all the game data has vanished!! All my cars, records, everything! All i have is data starting 8th Dec, so all of Need for Speed & every other game data has gone! Gutted ☹️

This has happened to me as well. TWICE. I can't believe a bug/glitch as bad as this has gone unnoticed, it's infuriating! Having just lost all my progress I'm not sure I care to spend ANY more time on this bloody game until its fixed. What a waste of time and money.

Start a petition bro, This is sad! Every EA game that gets released is tested less and less. The software they are publishing is directly damaging our property yet there is no accountability. Having a backround in game developement I can say this, They are forcing products through to market knowing they are poorly tested. They have been sued on many occasions an just wiped their asses with the paperwork. We need some form of recourse! The only way that I know we can directly hurt them is to only buy their games used or not at all! This is the reality, they have too much of the market and unless that changes they will do as they please.

N4S:MW froze on me today.

I didn't know what to do because all controller buttons were unresponsive.

So I shout the PS3 down.

When the PS3 restarted, it said it wasn't shut down properly and wanted to check the hard drive.

Now all my game data is gone, but oddly, the game remembers my Origin login.  If my game needs an Origin login, why isn't my game data stored with them?

If I look at my Save Game Data, there is a file there with the name: _UAS_20130101921001100619313 which has the date and time of when my PS3 crashed.  I believe this is my old game data.  If I try to copy it, the system says the data is corrupt.  So my old game data is there, but not there.

If it happens again, I'll have to try zehruela suggestion.

Make sure you guys check your online cars,my game data got corrupted when i froze during a speed list online.Myself as well as most of my friends have this issue,most of our cars online no longer keep mods,sweet revenge or paint jobs on.Everytime i put the mods on my cars then change my car & change it back i have to put all mods back on again.This is happening to a ton of people ever since they released the update for the ultimate speed pack.I understand the frustration,my game glitched 3 days after the update & has been glitched ever since.Never again will i purchase  an  EA game or any game with any involvment with EA.EA is a self centered corperation.They only care about one thing & that's getting your money.Customer satisfaction will never be at the top of their list.

Well well well yet another post stating that game freezes then corrupts data..... Wonder what EA is doing about it ohhh thats right nothing cause they don't even have the time to write a reply on here. Never again will I buy an EA game. 

I have all the same issues you have mentioned. I have spent over 4 hours in 2 days mostly on hold talking to 2 levels of tech support all for nothing. They sent it to the EXPERT tech level and said they will respond via email. @ days later......NOTHING.
