Good day, I want to note that the game does not work only if you connect a TV, by connecting the monitor to the PC it works!
Tell me how you can you can limit the output, after all TV output signal more options ...

Hey again all, since my last post I have tried everything short of a system reinstall to get this working. The EA help staff on this site were patient and did their best to be helpfull but in the end couldn't find a solution.
So just as an update my ticket was elevated to a specialist who emailed me asking for a DxDiag and a MSInfo file. I sent them off to them about 30 hours ago but have heard nothing since. If I get anything I will post here again.
P.S. Using the windowed mode I have already finished the Racer portion and am flying around in a McLaren P1. Asside from this very annoying and, frankly hard to believe oversight with the full screen issue, it is a great game. - Anonymous12 years ago
If i disconnect my projector, and I have only PC screens plugged, it's working.

Need for Speed Rivals PC Black Screen Issue
Some PC Need for Speed Rivals players have reported being stuck at a black screen when attempting to boot their game.
If you’ve been getting stuck at a black screen when trying to play Need for Speed Rivals, try out the following troubleshooting steps to get in the driver’s seat:- Start your game, and one you reach the black screen, press Alt+Enter on your keyboard to toggle out of full screen into windowed mode.
- You should see a cinematic and be able to see your game in windowed mode, but be unable to affect your game with key-input.
- Once you get through the introduction videos and have the option to hit Enter to start, press Alt+Enter again to be returned to the black game screen, and hit enter.
- Now press Alt+Enter to go back to windowed mode to see your game in action and view the tutorial.
- Any time you’re asked to perform a task or key-input, hit Alt+Enter to return to the black screen, hit your needed key-input, then Alt+Enter back out to be able to see your game.
- Once you’ve progressed through the tutorial and into the Training Mission, hit the Esc key to open your map.
- Press the Page Up button on your keyboard and select PC Settings.
- Set Fullscreen to OFF.
Once Fullscreen is set to off, your game should be able to run normally without the black screen, however it will be running in windowed mode.
Rest assured that we're still investigating this issue and will provide further updates and troubleshooting information as quickly as possible. If you've been experiencing this issue, find your DXDiag information and post it into this Answer HQ thread using spoiler tags to help us troubleshoot this faster.- 12 years ago

Here is a list of things i have done to fix this problem.
1: clean boot = didn't work
2: diasbled antivirus = didn't work
3: changed screen resolution = didn't work
4: reapir the game = didn't work5: disconnected my second monitor = didn't work
6: booted with just the second monitor = didn't work
My main screen is a 32" LCD HD TV, running through HDMI, but i have read all the other posters problems and none have fixed this.
All my drivers are up to date, so this is a game problem not a problem with mey PC as the other 500 games i have all work without every having this sort of problem, i have a dozen origin games and they all work fine.
Reinstalling is only going to result in the same problem.
So fix this so your paying customers can actually enjoy the game you all put months/years into making.- Anonymous11 years ago
Almost done re-installing , but i highly doubt it will make any difference.

Ok i fixed my problem by downloading the latest origing installer and reinstalling over the top of my current version and now it's working.
Edit: Now me game is working but crashing at random times due to some problem with my Nvidia drivers so i rolled back to the last drivers and still getting the same problem.
i had 347.89 currently using 344.75, maybe beta drivers will fix this.
