NFS - The Run- Gamepad controls

I have just bought NFS-The Run, cos IM into racing games. It looked great, so, when I got it, loaded it, and got ready to play.,  First tho, I had to set up my gamepad, so I went to Settings, n controller,,  the top line showed that I had the gamepad ready to set up, next line down, Accelerate, but, no way of setting it up, or, any other settings, brake, left/right. camera etc. So, can anyone tell me how to set up the gamepad, and what buttons to use etc. 

When I tried to play The Run, where the fella is in the car, n in the crusher,, I need to press X n then B. I finally managed to find X on the gamepad, but sure cudnt find the B. What seems a good game, is spoilt, cos there is no way I can play it,, till I get the controls sorted out,,, so, any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks.

    when playing Need for Speed -The Run, I have trouble escaping the police when I am running away. I use my gamepad, and when Im driving it's OK but on foot and running, I cant find the right keys. The keys I know are,,when I need to press X, then that is the green triangle at the top,, When I ned to press B, then the X at the bottom. Y would be the red square. However, when running, I need to press A and I, and I cant seem to find them on the  gamepad. Can some-one please tell me what  keys I need when I am on foot.
