NFS 3 hot pursuit wont play on my PC

My PC is a 64bit and NFS III Hot Pursuit wont work. Is there a 64bit version available?

    Does your PC meet the following requirements, specifically the video card section?

    • OS : Windows XP SP3/Vista SP2/Windows 7
    • Processor : 3.0 GHz P4 or Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2GHz or equivalent or faster
    • Memory : 2 GB RAM
    • Hard Disk Space : Up to 10 GB of hard drive space
    • Video Card : 256 MB Video Card with support for Shader Model 3.0 containing these chipsets or better:
         - NVIDIA GeForce 8800
         - ATI X1900
         - Intel® HD Graphics
    • DirectX® : DirectX 9, DirectX 10 or DirectX 11 compatible video card
    • Sound : DirectX compatible sound card

    The error I get is Need for Speed 3 will not work on my PC due to the fact that I have a 64-bit system and Need for Speed 3 works on a 32-bit system.

    My OS is Windows 8.1 all the other requirements my PC exceeds by far.

    @slicepro2

    Please try the following:

    Windows 8 Users

    • From the Desktop, right-click your game's shortcut and select Properties
    • Select the Compatibility tab
    • Select the "Run compatibility troubleshooter" button
    • Select "Try recommended settings"
    • Select the "Test the program..." button to test your new compatibility settings
    • If your game functions correctly, select "Yes, save these settings for this program"

    Before I ever asked for help I have exhausted every possible Avenue. Your suggestion is of course one of the first that I tried with no luck.

    No help from your site at all. Repetitive responses or form letters I don't appreciate. No one is actually addressing this issue, you are just sending a form letter.
