NFS Heat gives broken screen color with HDMI

What I mean by broken screen is the background is purple/pink. Its not the TV or the HDMI cable as launching any other game it is fine. If I unplug the HDMI cable and hook up a DVI to my monitor it works fine, if I rehook the HDMI cable and disconnect the DVI it displays fine on my TV, it is just blurry. No FPS drops or anything.

  • Hi

I experienced the same problem as you did. If I play on my monitor which is connected via DVI everything displays correctly but as soon as I switch over to HDMI 4k TV I experienced your problem. This is due to HDR setting being switched on. It would then be on auto. Just turn it off and it should display correctly over HDMI.

Hope this fixes your issue as it did for me!

PS: EA fix your game's HDR! I have never experienced this on any other game with HDR enabled....

  • Hi,

I think I ran into the same issue. For me the game's image had a pink/purple tint or hue over it, while playing it on full-screen mode as shown in the image I attached, don't know if you are able to see it.

I noticed that playing the game in borderless mode fixed the issue for me. It's borderless but the game still filled the screen for me, similar to full-screen mode.

Hope this helps you & any one else.

I was having the same problem with my HDMI 4k video output.  NFS Heat played fine on 1920 x 1080 monitors but as soon as I put it up on my 4k 77" TV the screen looked purple/pink/bluish.  I switched HDR in the NFS Heat game settings from "Auto" to "Off" and it magically fixed my problem.  Thanks for the tip guys!

  • The borderless window did help in my case, thanks for helping my friend! I hope the best comes to you!
