I have tried with my Logitech G27s, didn't work as intended, pain in the ass to do all the binding and I'm not even sure it recognizes the pedals as axis. So no, it's recognized just as a random controller and not a wheel.

Have you tried driving with your wheel after assigning the necessary bindings. I am very curious if you had any success at all.

G27 will not work currently, it's not supported.
EA on chat told me an update/patch will be coming.
When, they didn't say.
It was useless to have this incomplete game on day of release. it's non-functioning.
Not able at all to drive the game with a pc joystick. It´s not ok at all!!!!!

About controllers not working with Need for Speed Rivals - I have read elsewhere that XBox controllers will work with NFS Rivals. I am assuming that is true.
As for me, it seems that Xbox 'like' controllers will work with NFS Rivals also. I've confirmed that my Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad will work with NFS Rivals (with XInput enabled)
