Try disabling cloud saves just for troubleshooting purposes.
Origin menu, Application Settings, Installs & Saves, Cloud Storage, set Saves to OFF.
Still not working... 😕
yes i still getting the same issue..i enter to origin (or clicking on the nfspb shortcut) getting the origin window clicking play, the mouse start "thinking" the play button turned gray a little bit
the cloud sync is loading ..when its getting 100 % the origin window pops off then on the play button turned orange again and nothing happens..
im really appreciate your help..
Community ManagerClick on Go Offline from the Origin menu and then start the game. It will say Game details are not available etc. etc.
Click the Go Online button and see what happens.
You know I've just thought of something, have you ever used a secondary monitor from that machine or played around with the monitor setup/configuration? It is possible the the game is working fine but is being output on the HDMI port.
tried already the thing with offline/online mode doesn't helped...
i do have a second monitor but it doesn't work if it's connected or not ..while i installed the game the pc was not connected to
the HDMI or to anything else...

Yesterday i had Exactlly THE SAME PROBLEM THAT YOU HAVE NOW [it shows the cloud sync dialoge load to 100% then the play button turns gray and origin minimized then origin pops up again and nothing happens] Im 100% Sure that what happens for us is Related to same specific problem in process with the nfs payback server on ea only for the first time Start of the game so You must Surely Do What i Did and You Will be All FINE , Promise ; )
Here is the Solution :
1.What is your antivirus application?MINE is ESET Internet Security and i DISABLED all eset computer protection , internet protection and Network protection features

2. this is the MOST Important one : **USE A VPN WITH USA SERVER** << This is The Key ( this means that for the first time launch of your game there is some unknown issue and certain problem between EA ORIGIN Servers (this time on nfs payback) and Some Networks/Contries/Regions/ISPs. Thats it - i Hope EA Team Will Read and Solve this Problem for ever
( REMEMBER >> NOT ALL TYPES OF VPNs Applications Work on this one, Some of them Wont work for this issue, but i believe a normal pptp or l2tp connection will work for you ) *maybe free hotspot vpn app which is downloadable as chrome extension will work for you.
SO DO All i said and Your Game will Show up
Still having problems with the same issue, the removal of the antivirus had it fixed for a couple sessions and now it is back.
- Currently, Both my VPN and Firewall providers are temporarily disabled as well as windows defender
- I have shut down, restarted, redownloaded, clean boot, cleared caches etc.... to try and fix it, still nothing.
- As I am in NZ the USA VPN location doesn't work for me, only NZ locations work otherwise EA blocks me out so I am kinda stuck for that one.....
Wondered if you might have any ideas as you seemed to have fixed the problem

ok, some progress, I got in but the shipments and challenges weren't loading so I had to restart the game.... now I can't get back in
I have the exact same problem.
I click Launch and I get the Cloud Sync Popup.
Then Origin closes but NFS Payback does not open.
After a short time Origin pops back up again..
I tried everything I could possibly think of except completely reinstalling the game.
The game worked fine just minutes before. Nothing changed on my PC. The game just does not want to launch anymore.
Please help?
Same problem. Tried all things: reboot, updae, repair, vpn, disable antivirus. NFS just suddenly stoped lunch.
just bought the game myself and the same issue i dont have anti virus, but nfs payback and origin both are allowed through firewall, here is a copy of my dxdiag, I'm clueless to what the vpn stuff everyone is mentioning, maybe someone could assist me in this, tried just about everything in all topics.
