Re: NFS Heat Level 3+

If you guys spent even half as much time trying to improve your cars and make them faster, as opposed to complaining and whining, you'd be fine.

There are a lot of people not having any issues with the cops. There's just that select group of whiners that immediately run for the forums to complain when something isn't just handed to them. And now you're all running a herd mentality thinking everyone is struggling.

The game is easy and the cops are easy. You're just slow.

This.People try to be hero when dealing with cops.People who constantly whining in this topic say, they end up getting busted while they try 2 ram cops as in MW 2005 days. This game is about to outrun the cops not ram & destroying their cars.Trying to crash cop cars in this game only make things worse where you keep damaging your vehicle and force the police get reinforcements, ie more trouble for you to deal with which end up possible bust!

I was thinking police being too fast in many occassion until I buff my M4 cabrio & Countach which the latter has incredible accerelation even stock.

My only tip for chases is to get showcase tires, so you will have a subtle handling between grip & drift which leads an absolute advantege when luring cops to other direction where you sharply turned.

I'm currently level 23 and I just don't bother with Heat 3, as soon as I get to Heat 2 I just go back to a safe house and reset. The risk just isn't worth it, my car is at 310 and can't out run Heat 3 cops, they seem to just instantly catch up and overtake regardless and I'd rather not lose money and the rep multiplier.

  • Just keep racing in the night in small increment steps. Then get the damage reduction and the repair kit the first chance you'll get.
You'll be able to take on Heat level 3 most of the time, WHEN using jumps. So make sure to memorise some.
Then just keep racing at night in the same manner, small but progressive. Do NOT get tempted to go after the special Heat race level 3 at this point, it has no use. You don't unlock any special ultimate parts until you reach Rep 50. -__- I found out the hard way.
It's only when you get all your parts upgraded to the max AND bought the orange damage reduction and repair kit (x2 times repair!!) that you can take on Heat level 4 and 5. And do the special Heat races.

Why? Because the game is unbalanced as hell. With all parts maxed, and the above passive and active upgrades it becomes very easy:
    1) You'll outrun the cops in most cases under level 4. No wonder, half of the time you don't even know how you are surviving at those amazing high speeds.
    2) They'll still hit you at other times, but hey, you got a "high" armored vehicle now and if you are lucky, 5 repairs in one night.
    3) Couple that with jumps and you are safe.

So there is a whole "gap" where the game is getting hard as nails because you are underpowered for level 3,4 and 5. Then you get a liiiitle bit of shelter from level 3 if you know what you are doing. And that's it for a "long period" (feels like it anyway, unless you grind that Rep with special methods) of time. And then it quickly jumps to the other side of the scale and you are left wondering if the game just laughed in your face.
At level 43, and only then, I finally got some grip on the night modus of the game because of the parts that started unlocking.

Nuts I tell you. This game had such potential, now there are so many things to balance (and fix, but balancing will be the hardest part) that this game will probably die a silent death.

Any tips on how I can improve my car so that I can easily escape from heat level 3 cops without abusing jumps and parking garage? I want to use my memory for more important things than memorizing every jump in racing game.

Says the guy who says the cops are easy to avoid.

Your really out of touch with what the community has been reported.

Glad your Trainer made it easy to erase the cops chases for you.

However real races have to grind hard to level up and work extra hard to avoid the 5.0 cops.

    Thanks for your humor. ☑️🥶

Where did I say avoiding cops is easy? Do you know how many times I've been caught by them while trying to sneak to high heat races?

You can get to rep level 50 without getting chased, ever.

Speed camera at race track. Drive around race track and hit that camera every lap. When you hear anything in police radio stop at either of turns and turn off your engine. Just idle until they give up and repeat. There is low chance that game will spawn cop car right next to you when you hit camera. There's just nothing you can do about it other than trying to outrun him on main straight.

Just use any car that can reach high top speeds and has high acceleration.

Trainer on console? Good one. Hahaha

We're lucky that we get mods in some games like Fallout 4 and Farming Simulator 19.

Right off the bat, I think you should use "Damage Reduction" instead of the radar jam (I don't even know what the jammer actually does). With the Elite perk, your car will have nearly 3x as much health. Otherwise the set up looks good, as long as your suspension, differential, and tires are on the Track/Race spec. For the primary perk, I usually use the Elite Nitrous Refill, but I rarely ever use any Nitrous in the night mode.

As to getting away, I never find myself needing to revert to jumps or this mentioned parking garage haha :P. As long as you can gain a few seconds here and there, you should be more than fine just swerving through roads, taking quick cuts through fields/forests, and generally just trying to take as many turns as you can to lose visibility of them on longer stretches of road.

At Heat 5, the Rhino charging at you can also be used to knock out a few cops chasing you, as long as you time your dodging of the truck.

  • @Sephrax

OK, so that's your trick to avoid the cops ...well I'm on PC bud!

Come over to the PC version VS your Console Version.

Sorry also because you didn't post you were on a console in your original post I read.

Now knowing this explains why you might have been to avoid cops....not the same on PC they are vicious!

Have a good day and to make it up to you gave you some XP for your headache. LOL

    Have a good day.

I already switched it to DR. It was just filler because it was only elite passive I had at that momemt and didn't want to waste money on it. I have been grinding money and tried to find fun cars to drive because there's not much else for me in this game. I have only managed to sneak into one level 5 race and I got busted after very long chase. Other 6 (3 with this car) attemps to get to either one of high heat races have failed.

Well, I got ultimate 15lb nitrous which isn't best but hey, at least I got ultimate part.

15lb nitrous is the way to go.

@ColAvalanche311It's too long for most races. It also takes 1 hour to refill. And cops laugh at it when they accelerate faster than Evo IX.

  • It takes you the same amount of time to refill the full 1x 15lb nitrous as it does to refill only 2x 3lb nitrous (2 out of 5).

Yes it is a big boost and you need to know when to use it, but it is definitely better than the small 3lbs.

  • I managed to get 2.5 million rep on one night run last night so I dare say cops arent too overpowered. On average I can find myself cashing in a million rep per run after about 4 or 5 good races.

Over time people will realize the cops were only difficult in the very early stages of the game

@ColAvalanche311Which leads us back to one of my major complaints about this game: if you want to be good at this game you have to know every mm³ of it.

"Cops aren't problem" only applies to races and even then we are talking about heat level 4 or lower.

Why I can't outrun heat level 3+ cops even in the Evo IX with ultimate parts? Before you say stop using slow car: fully upgrade your superior Corvette and then challenge fully upgraded Evo IX to 1/8 or 1/4 mile drag race. Prepare to lose.

Edit: Actually, if it's so easy many here say can anyone explain why I can't outrun (races not included) heat level 3+ cops in maxed Evo IX?

I fully upgraded an Evo IX yesterday and that car is a beast. You should more than able to escape the cops in it. I guess you're just trying to lose them on straights, whereas you should be cutting through fields, taking many turns through the cities, and trying to make the most of every second you can get ahead of them.

If you would like, add me on Origin or Discord and I can stream how I escape from cops in an Evo IX for you (haven't tried it, but given the car it should be incredibly easy).

@ColAvalanche311 I have tried almost everything from jumps to zig zaging in city to confusing AI in parking garage.
I even got in almost endless escaped -> I found the car! -> escaped until I got busted while trying to hide on top of containers.

Like I said, I'm more than happy to show you how to escape. Doesn't take any tricks or hiding on top of sneaky buildings.
