Re: Problem - BMW M3 GTR in "Race Car" category in Multiplayer

It's supposed to be there. Like the Porsche 918 IS EXOTIC but you use Everyday cars to unlock it.

Why aren't similar cars like the R34 GT-R in the "Race Car" category as well? The M3 GTR is nothing like the Caterham, BAC, and Ariel.

Well the M3 GTR shares more things in common with Race. All the cars are meant to shred lap times, all have lightweight constructions, some sort of roll cage and short gearing. The R34 is more a touring/street machine. It's considerable heavier and it's more for dominating the streets while taking a few hits. Also it's AWD lets it play off road fairly well.

No, not really. The race cars are vastly different from any other cars in the game. Quick acceleration, tons of grip, tight handling, minimalist bodies, poor toughness, etc.

The M3 GTR is much like most of the sports cars; well rounded, jack of all trades sort of thing. Slower and tougher than the exotics, but faster and weaker than the muscle cars. It's closest to the 911 GT2, which, you guessed it, is a sports car.

Just compare the stats in-game. The M3 GTR sticks out like a sore thumb in comparison to any of the race cars, but is very similar or even the same as many of the sports cars in various aspects.
  • just want to mention that the M3 GTR is a real life race car, so why shouldn't it be in the race-car category?

Are you seriously comparing this game to real life? Lots of cars in this game are "real life race cars". Tell me the last time you saw the Ariel, BAC, and/or Caterham in a "real life race". 😕mileylol:

  • the M3 GTR has more in commen with the Ariel Atom V8, Caterham or BAC Mono than with all the other cars (even more than with the Pagani Zonda R which is a track car build for the streets while e.g. the M3 GTR  is only build for the race-track, but not for the streets)

No it doesn't and I've explained why in previous posts, whereas you have just made a blatant statement with no supporting evidence at all.

Also, the Pagani isn't "a track car build for the streets". For starters, it's not even close to being street legal.

Not only have you made up basically everything you've said, but you've ignored absolutely everything I've said.

I expect nothing more in your next reply lol

Would anyone from EA/Criterion be ever so kind and respond? On a forum created just for that?

about the Pagani i'm wrong, yes, but the M3 GTR has nothing in commen with all the other cars except for the Zonda R, Atom V8, Caterham and BAC Mono

    1) the M3 GTR is a really light weight car, same as the Atom or Caterham

are the Evo X, Aventador, XKR, Carrera S, ect. really light weight cars? no

    2) the M3 GTR is totally build for the race track, so are Atom V8, Caterham, Zonda R and BAC ( you don't really thing they are build for the street, do you?)

is the Carrera build for the race track? No. Is the Bugatti build for the race track? No. Is the Aventador build for the race track? No

it doesn't fit in the other categories, it's not build for the street, it's not comfortable, but is has a fantastic handling and power

to this arguement "The race cars are vastly different from any other cars in the game. Quick acceleration, tons of grip, tight handling, minimalist bodies, poor toughness, etc."

the only thing the M3 GTR does not have is the minimalist body, and ok not a tight handling like the Ariel, but it's very close

to this argument: "Why aren't similar cars like the R34 GT-R in the "Race Car" category as well?"

the R34 GT-R is not similar to the M3 GTR, it weights a lot more, it has more seats, it's street legal, it's body is far away from being as aerodynamic as the M3 GTR, it has no roll cage, it has alot more interior, it has no race-tires, ect.

and btw. no exotic would beat the M3 GTR

for me the Zonda R is in the wrong category, not the M3 GTR
