Any idea where the save files are stored and how they are called. I found the nfs rivals map, but nothing is called save file.

It is because your save files are in the Origin cloud you can not delete the Origin cloud sorry that is why I say no way to start from 0 only whit a new account but you can see your local date but problem is cloud and local is synced together and you can't really delete it sorry
if this helps pleas give XP to my account thanks

Your save files are located in C:\Documents\Ghost Games\Need for Speed(TM) Rivals\settings
Disable cloud storage in Origin if you don't use multiple computers.

Well that could work BUT and it is a big but disabling the Origin cloud is a very bad idea and is not advisable by EA or support so if he does this there may be problems later just to let you know

- Actually the cloud causes more problems than it prevents. Try doing a little research and you will find thousands of topics where EA tech support suggested disabling the cloud for many reasons including starting a game over like New. The only things that can't be reset are things Autolog keeps track of such as race times, jump distances, speed cameras and such. As I stated, the clouds only real purpose is to allow you to pick up where you left off in a game on a different computer. If you only use one computer, it really is useless.
You don't need to turn off the cloud saving, by deleting the locally stored files Origin will detect a mismatch in the save files and ask you what you want to do. If you want to start over again, simply use the local one instead of the cloud saved one. Once you've exited the game your cloud save will be overwritten with your current progress where you started all over again from the start.
- Anonymous12 years agoIt worked just fine. Made a file to store the save file from rivals. Stopped the cloud funtion from origin. Only bad thing, have to see the complete intro from nfs rivals again which was clearly made for people up to 3 years old. Thank you all very much.
I've enabled and disabled the EA cloud many times, starting NFS games over from scratch. It doesn't cause any "problems later".
Steps are simple:
1. Go find the save files. Rename the "save" folder.
2. Right click the game on Origin and select "Game Details".
3. Disable cloud saves.
4. Start game. You will get a message saying the local save and cloud save do not match. Choose "I want to use local save". This will overwrite your cloud save. (but remember, you still have your "cloud save" in the renamed folder" so don't worry if you want to go back)
5. Re-enable cloud save the next time you start the game so the saves will be in sync.
If you ever want to go back to the first save, just repeat the steps but set the renamed folder back to the original name. Good luck. I've done it on ever Criterion and NFS game since Hot Pursuit.
