Re: Stop trying to be Burnout

I'm not going to keep going back forth with you on this at the end of the day gameplay will tell all and my opinions are based off of what gameplay we are given at the time and not he said she said comments

you even deny the facts i give you that are supported by existing gameplay and existing confirmed information combined. such as my huge thread on how the physics are improved or how the creative director of the game confirmed that the takedown camera only exists in missions and not races that alone completely debunked your silly arguments. you dont have to like the game you see, but your argument of it being burnout is not only very dry, but also very weak. i use mostly comments given by ghost games as a source. which im sure know a lot more about the game than you do since they are the ones making the game.

just because there is drifting and a takedown camera doesn't make something a burnout rip off, of course, there's some inspiration from it, but there's also more influences from older NFS games than there is burnout such as.

    • Canyons
    • Customization
    • Performance Shops
    • Car Lots
    • No fast traveling to the garage
    • Story
    • Licensed Cars
    • Cops
    • Progression System
    • The Map

to me burnout is all about the over the top jumps, the light hearted tone, and the crash mode. takedown cameras do not make burnout what it is. you can remove take down cameras from burnout and it will still be burnout. you can remove the drifting from burnout and it will still be burnout.

if you don't like the game you see why are you here, and why don't you just not buy the game instead of making the community more cancerous. at this point the NFS community is on similar toxicity level to the COD community, you have people just like you who go on the forums and Reddit with baseless arguments just so you can complain about the game. id argue the situation is worse on Reddit.

like honestly you have not given me one good reason as to why Payback is like Burnout, instead you call me a fanboy for expecting you to give more than 2 reasons as to why Payback is anything like burnout. 2 small minuscule features like those aren't going to make someone with more than one brain cell to switch to your side. you can't expect to have people on your side when your points are dry and weak, I'm sorry you just can't.

I think most people in this thread forget major things.

since NFS had its major identity crisis NFS has always had to try and please everyone. they had to please the people who loved most wanted 2012, they have to please the people who loved the underground series, and they have to please the people who like the run or even pro street. and I think they are doing a good job at doing this by having 2 different physics models. and I can tell you there is absolutely no way these new physics can suck with all the information we have there is just no way for them to suck. let me explain a bit further.

so the F132, we all know about it, but I don't think all of us have driven it based on this entire thread complaining about physics. the F132 had AMAZING physics in comparison to everything in the entire game. of course, they weren't really as refined as they could have been, but thats only because the F132 was an early revision of new physics. the physics for the F132 were likely there to give players an early version of what paybacks physics are going to be like (so the players would not just up an leave). my logical thinking on this is that there is no way that the car with the latest version of the physics in 2015 gets completely scrapped and replaced for the inferior physics from the cars that were in the game from launch in 2015. now yes perhaps they should have shown us the grip physics first, but whatever they can't do anything about that. we know there is more gameplay likely coming on the 18th or the 25th, but id say that it will be the 18th because the NFS twitter said they were recording gameplay a few days ago. and other posts by devs of the game said there would be more gameplay before the end of July.

I'm not telling you to go out and pre order the game, I'm telling you to at least give Ghost Games a chance this is only their second full game. and they are really passionate about what they are doing. you can hear it in their voice you can see it in all the game with all the features the fans want being added. just give them the chance.

Dude that is actually the biggest problem, since EA allways trys too please everyone. That is not working, what EA should done long ago is having two NFS teams. Etc one team that could make a illegal street racing game like Ghost are doing now, but also a second teeam that could goo back making same type of NFS games that we had in the 90s. Because then both generations would be happy, and i know EA have the money and recoruses doo make it happen. They are not a small company like SCS, so this should they done for long time ago.

That's probably the most idiotic thing you can say, just because I don't like the direction NFS is going in doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion that's the problem with you fanboys if you don't absolutely love the way the game is and circle * what their doing you can't say anything bad about the game,if everyone who didn't like certain aspects of a game followed your rule the sales (which are already terrible) will plummet even further giving EA a reason to end the series. I've said this multiple times but apparently you can't read. If more gameplay comes out and they in fact did change these things I have no problem changing my opinion of the game.

Actually you are wrong, i was a fan of the original series that started in the 90s. I havent been a fan of NFS after they gone Fast and Furious way. then i would say i liked Criterions NFS games since both HP 2010 and Rivals, gived me good feeling that i had when i used too play High stakes and the other old NFS games. My biggest complain is that dont like nowadasys NFS force you too tune and customice the cars, insted of letting bee opinal like it should be. Thats why i mean there should be two NFS team one that could make games for the ricer geenration, and the other for mee and my old school generation that just wants too race in  stock exsotic supercars.

look I can tell you are a Forza fanboy just by your statement "look at Horizon 3" id argue Horizon 3 is probably the most boring game I have ever played id much rather play FH1 or FH2 @Sparco_MLR. you have said nothing constructive and all your points are extremely DRY AND WEAK. I have already debunked all of the 2, weak points you've given me. if you are willing to give me more reasons that aren't completely stupid than ill definitely listen to what you have to say. and that's that. I have given you reasons as to why your 2 points are stupid and all you have had to say is that I'm a fanboy or that I'm stupid or some stupid stuff like that instead of maybe getting better points you continue to get hung up on the already debunked points you keep giving me. as I stated before you need to give them a chance instead of hopping straight onto the hate train. I've not departed on any train I'm still at the station waiting for them show more. I will stick up for the game when I know someone is spewing complete nonsense about it.

@NFSMWBOSS88 Customization hasn't been forced since Underground 2.

and this is actually their second attempt at making a game for every type of fan of the series. and the whole issue with your suggestion is EA has tried that. and it caused Black Box to be shut down this was right before NFS had its MAJOR identity crisis that's when the yearly hot pursuit burnout style NFS started. in the last game, they came pretty close to favoring the game to all players but just fell short for a few reasons, which I'm sure they have ironed out. in fact, it would be extremely confusing if those issues haven't been ironed out considering this game has been 2 years in development. and considering that NFS 2015 was a large 2 year beta for Payback its nearly impossible for them to get this wrong. and I stand by that statement.

you all just need to wait and see more instead of hopping on the hate bandwaggon/train that Payback has.

Lmao where did I ever say I was a fan of Forza? All I said was in terms of physics FH3 has the best combination of arcade and somewhat simulation, I guess that makes me a fanboy now lol good one.

you are obviously a fanboy considering that game is complete trash in comparison to pretty much any Forza game in existence and you are saying that it's a good base line that NFS should copy, umm yeah no. I think NFS should try to be its self and not Forza, not The Crew, none of that. NFS needs to have its own style. and I will state this again NFS Payback has fixed the physics and I have already given you the reason why. you just need to wait for a demo or something along those lines before you judge how the driving feels. we could go all technical on it like I already have, but at the end of the day its hard to judge physics just by looking at a video.

those gameplay videos aren't released for you to judge the physics they are there for you to judge the feature, it's there for you to judge the graphics, its there for you to judge the story. it's just not there for you to judge something that is mostly felt and not seen. now as I've said before it would have been smarter for them to show the grip physics first, but there's not much they can do about what they have already shown. you just need to wait a hot minute before you jump on the hate train. you need to do your research read all the dev interviews to get an idea of what the game is actually going to be like instead of going out on assumptions.
