Unable to properly launch NFS Most Wanted via EA App

I recently reinstalled windows on my computer; due to an issue with windows properly starting.... since then i have downloaded and installed Need For Speed: Most Wanted twice via the EA App and once via the Desktop shortcut, however every time i try to launch the game, i keep finding that the OriginLegacyCompatibility is listed as suspended in the EA task tree in task manager (see attached screenshot)
