Ways to fix the "Ghosted/Missing right side livery" Bug [UPDATED]

Hello Everyone

I haven't had glitches happen to me as of recently with one particular exception, this little guide/report was suggested for me to write by a friend of mine that has heard and has had the issue happen to him where specifically the right side of a Livery will become darkened/ghosted, making it unpleasant to look at and probably frustrate you, something that probably looks similar to this:

Now it is not guaranteed that this glitch will persist in your garage, but many people have previously reported that Any car you save, will eventually turn up like this, With that said, of all the times I've encountered this glitch, I've managed to get my designs back doing the following tricks:

As of the last few days, the glitch has appeared more pronounced and constantly for me to test and review and now I've decided to re-write this as a definitive guide on how or why this glitch appears, and the mutiple ways  you can temporarily get rid of this yourself and whenever it happens again.

0# The Triggers.

The livery glitch will present itself during the following events:
1. You own multiple cars/liveries (around 80 to 100).

2. The game has been active for an extended period of time (around 20/30 minutes of runtime).

3. You enter the visual/performance customization menus (SpeedPass Menu also counts as "Customization")

To check if it has taken effect: Look for the car you just customized in your Owned Car Garage (OCG), if the stickers are faded, the car has been glitched. If this has happened DO NOT Customize or open the speedpass with any other unaffected car, I recommend restarting the game, or if in the middle of something, change cars through the Meetups.

1# First Attempt

During your session, try changing any part of the car, equip or unequip a part, remove and reapply the livery, if after doing this, you check on your car in the OCG, if the decals are still Ghosted, follow step 2

2# After Restart

Normally, after the glitch is taking place, my game requires 2 restarts, after trying 1# and seing no effect in the first restart, try another one, then do the following things:

- Quickly edit the Livery by adding a sticker that isn't visible, changing color, etc. then save the livery on the same slot
- Change a part in the car, doesn't matter which (I tend to do brake discs, then revert them)

- To check if it was successful, go into your OCG and check on the car, if the decals are properly showing, it's done, if not, retry this step once more
- If you have multiple affected cars, if one has been fixed, the rest may just need to have a part equipped and unequipped from the car, that should be enough to fix it.

3#  Reason why it happens and How to avoid it

Once the glitched cars are back to normal I recommend if continuing your play session:

- Change Cars only through the meet ups

- Avoid Customizing cars if the session has gone for too long

- Avoid entering the SpeedPass menu if the session has gone for too long

Due to some of the issues the game has with CPUs, overtime the game seems to corrupt slowly in terms of textures and gameplay elements, leading to a lot of unintended glitches, once there's a lot of liveries and cars in your inventory, a lot of issues may start appearing, including the infamous FTCL5001 Glitch, or as you can see, this livery glitch, which begins by corrupting the top area of the baked livery texture. (mostly the right side, with the exception of the 350Z)

This is mostly an educated assumption to point out that these may be related in some way with CPU optimization, and the glitches depend on the spec of the platform you're using.

FTCL5001 being more possible in Lower end CPUs and Xbox Series S/X, while the Livery Glitch is more likely to appear in Higher end AM5 CPUs, (PC only)

However this is all only an assumption as I said, I'm a technology enthusiast but I don't know how to program per say.

If this guide ends up helping you, kudos, if it doesn't, I tried, but don't shoot the messenger

I hope this glitch can be patched out soon in one of the future updates. but until then I'd rather share ways to fix it that I've tried myself

Until next time

Zino Out.
