Yet the new article confirms our assumptions.
There won't be a classic PVP system where you can create public or/and private lobbies and wait for people to join so you can race.
How is it that nowadays the developers go away from this concept? Be it The Crew 2 (PVP was added later), Forza Horizon 4&5 and NFS obviously.
This is just sad. Similar concept as in NFS Heat which failed miserably. I really hope these feature gets added eventually. Just make both possible like in NFS Hot Pursuit 2010/2020 which includes classic matchmaking by creating private/pub lobbies and additionally freeroam for the people who enjoy that.
Imagine this scenario: You don't have friends who are online, how do you want to race with other people? You ask for others to join and have to hope that they accept an invitation in said server. Yea, good luck with that.
I really want this NFS to succeed after the past disappointments. It can't be that difficult.
