Hey Everyone, I wanted to give a quick update to this thread. The NFS Unbound team has released a new update with Volume 6. In order to keep the forums clean and updated, I will be closing this thread from further comments as there are now several changes since this post was first created. I have the same exact issues

but if I manage to pass those and get somehow in a lobby

than it still freezes when scrolling trough my cars .
Current state of the game for me after having all the new drivers/updates etc since volume5: Unplayable

When you have a moment, can we try the following steps first?

Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from

EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)

EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify)

Steam - Verify in your library

EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)

Connection and Advance Connection Guides

Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance

Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates

Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues

Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game

I don't know why the EA Error Reporter should be helpful? Added the same text as here into the Error Reporter. There is my dxdiag, but why are you wasting time with all these things? How should all these solve the bug of the game itself? With magic?

I encountered the same problem
The game just refuses to load, I tried launching it several times but it freezes just after the video introduction and then crashes, during online load screens and in the car customisation menu as well(before even leaving the garage).
Actually the first time I opened the game after the update it was very laggy and stuttering.
This is so frustrating, hope they fix it in a matter of hours

@EA_IlliumSame problem here. I tried troubleshooting the game in various ways (repair installation, reinstall, deleting old saves) and came across something interesting.

So I dropped all graphic settings to the lowest. Surprisingly, this makes the freeze taking a lot longer to happen, and more consistently too. Setting the graphic setting to low allows me to drive around for a couple of minutes before the game eventually freeze again. The same thing happens everytime I try the same thing. (before setting graphic to lowest, it's random and usually happens before I could even get into online)

I'd also like to add that by being able to drive around for longer before the game freezes again, I also see a lot of pop-in textures & low LoD NPC cars like how it was for us PC players back when the game first released. Based on all these, I believe it's an old problem that somehow resurfaced (and got even worse)? The game crashing much later on low graphic settings might also point to a memory leak.

Also please, can you just show all our complains to the higher ups at EA (in this thread & otherwise)? So they can put Criterion back where they belong, developing & supporting Unbound. If EA wants to develop Battlefield, they should hire a different studio for that.

Hello, after the recent update I couldn't open the game again. I tried many methods but couldn't find any results. Since I couldn't upload the situation here, I uploaded it to YouTube and added the link.
I verified the file via Steam, did a recovery from the EA application, updated VC++, checked and updated all updates, tried again with a clean installation and many more attempts and failures that I can't think of.
I don't know what else I should do. As I said, this happened after I installed the update and I always experience the same problems every time I open it. I have even reached a point where the moderators will allow anyone who wants to access the PC and try it out. If no solution is found, I will ask for a refund. Because this is *. Anyway, I'm waiting for your help, that's the essence of the matter.
