I still have problems with fps drop - around 35-40 fps in online/singleplayer menu (where I see the character) and 75-90 fps in freeroam/races. In customize menu i get 120-140 fps...

Yep, still experiencing this issue, not even in the menu's will my GPU hit max usage and reach the 144 FPS threshold since this update came out a few days ago now or so. During freeroam the performance is also quite abysmal... I've recently just got back into the game and even bought the speed pass to complete it since the game has been extremely fun, but after this horrid performance hit that t his update brought around, it just doesn't feel good to be playing the game right now, horrible performance and an excess amount of CPU usage too? I really hope you guys get around and find out what's gone wrong and get right the wrong so we can have our performance back and get back to racing.

You can double your fps by using the frame generation feature from Lossless Scaling app (it's on steam), until a real game fix will come out.

I just updated today and also EA app mandatory update, then suddenly my GPU usage is stuck on 50% and wattage around 50 and my fps got halved now around 50-60 at most + alot of stuttering!!! pls fix ASAP ty

edit, nfs heat and 2016 still function as they should only nfs unbound got hardware performance capped, idk maybe soft cap is the issue,

so it's 100% updates related as it was fine before updates.

RTX 4070 with 140w unlock usage ingame only 50 watt and can't more

Intel Core 7 ultra 155h

32 GB RAM

game stuck at 30 fps and only overheat CPU to 98 degree

DLSS frame generation up fps to 50-70

GPU usage 50 watts and load 40-60%

all that only after when im update this game on september, still no have solution to fix, all on side of devs game!

Has an EA intern at least been assigned to run a diff of the 8.01 vs 8.02 updates? If you find what was updated it could narrow down the search and speed up MTTR. 

Got the same low GPU load and low frame rates problem after the latest update on steam, it was running fine when vol.8 first came out, please look into it.

So this is the patch with real problems for PC... Can anyone investigate for real?

No but EA planning update volume 9 maybe  this update fixed the game, this is ridiculis situation, today is 18 september still nothing to fixed, hey EA wake up !!!!!!!

As usual, we tire ourselves for nothing.

I have yet to see any help from the forum administrators. We are trying to find solutions ourselves. We received nonsense answers from the administrators such as send a dxdiag report, turn the PC upside down 🙂.

Why would a person only complain about this game and send a dxdiag report when all other games are running smoothly. If there is a problem with the system, other games will also fail.

Why is the problem sought by the user first? For once, admit that there was a mistake. If so many people complain about the same problem at the same time, the problem is with the developer, not us.

We cannot even get information about whether the problem has been reported or whether an improvement has been made.

Admins ask the question and run away. He doesn't come by again.

I found a method to return to the previous version of the game on steam. And after that, the game works fine as before, except that it only works in singleplayer. All you need to do is press windows+R and type: steam://open/console after that in steam console type: download_depot 1846380 1846381 6252147457738707060 and press enter (it will download the old game version). Then you can replace the files (the location of the file will appear once the download is complete)
