Be a Pro - Let us play in the Juniors/AHL

The offline majority and online majority are much different. Keep EASHL out of this. 

You’re an online player…. Not sure why each year you try to convince us that we don’t enjoy something when we actually do… 

Nope, the Superstar feeling is supposed to be the reward at the end of your hard work, not handed to you on a platter from day 1.  

The same damn game 3 years in a row is “how it works out”? Don’t be sad? Nah I won’t. I just won’t waste money on this POS. It’s sad what this franchise has turned into. Greedy developers who dupe you into thinking they are putting out a new game, and instead put out the same product because they know dopes will still blow their parents money on HUT and online bs

I would have to disagree. I certainly believe there is a crowd for the superstar feel, but I honestly think most BAP players want more of a realistic experience. The forced superstar mode just doesn't make sense the way EA does it..even if you're drafted in the 4th round you start out in the NHL with James and Ray constantly talking about you. If EA wants to force the superstar mode then why even have the draft? Just throw us as the first overall pick anyway. Just doesn't make sense. Also you start out at such a low rating..I have never been over a 70 overall when drafted. SEVENTY. However, other players in the game are near or over 80 overall if drafted first. Want to force superstar? Cool, make my player a 80 overall then not a 70 overall playing on the first line. You have a more accomplished feeling and more satisfaction from working on your player to make it to the NHL. I played NHL 20 WAY more than I have 21 or 22 for this reason alone. It made sense when I cracked the NHL lineup. I would go play in the CHL/AHL for a handful of years and develop my player to the 80's THEN made it to a line. Just my 2 cents. 

Let's be fair here, no one goes into playing a Be A Pro character to Be a 3rd line check forward. Everyone wants to get to superstardom. I also think you take a lot of things way out of context.

You're supposed to be Conner Bayard or Sean Wright. At the point in which the game picks up, youbare 17 or 18 getting ready to be drafted and you are in the Memorial or European Cup playoffs. So, let's actually discuss this.

Would it be cool to play in the AHL? Yes, but is it the way all players go? No, some, a very select few go right into the NHL. Now, do they play on 3rd and 4th Line, yes. Would it be cool to live that way? Sure, but let's be honest, the majority of players (which IS NOT reflected by this forum) want to be all stars. Personally, I play Power Forwards, and I like to step up to Gabriel Landiskog and Matthew Tuchuk... I don't play the game to hang out with Morgan Geekie on the third line.

Also, almost every player who makes the NHL played since they were a kid. You are asking for 1 year in the AHL, why not ask for ages 14 to 17 in the CHL, OHL, or QMJHL, then a year on the AHL Bottom 6, a year on the AHL 2nd and on the AHL first before you finally make the NHL Team? That's more realistic. Heck, by that logic, there should be a chance you are never brought up to the NHL, as again that could happen.

I think, rather then calling the game unplayable, as its not... Its frustrating, but not unplayable ...Ask for more development:

Dear EA,

We, the offline gamers, would like you to consider putting the option to play in the Juniors as an option, that way we can earn a 78 to 82 rating, which would make more sense as that's the average for a first overall pick. At that point, really amp up the challenge by giving us the chance to prove ourselves in the Preseason or else we get sent to the AHL, it would give us a much deeper sense of accomplishment in a game we really want to love.

What we tend to do, is attack, which I am totally guilty of, I'll admit. We need to give them better reasons then "we don't like it" becuase frankly, we sound like petulant children screaming over getting peas and not chocolate.

As for this being the same game, three years in a row, I completely agree. Bug fixes at the least would rock as would new features, just small ones, but alas, I'm going to play 6 or 7 season, to get my pro up to have a full deck of X-Factors and then never play again.

Actually I play at superstar level as a Goalie. I keep the gameplay sliders as comparable to Chel as possible because I play that too. In be a pro as a G I have played a max of 15-20 games in the first season, If I was in the minors in year 1 likely I would be a starter earning more time in the net or at least sharing the load. As a positional player you will find that you are playing 3rd line minutes.. Development is a part of the professional process, so send your rookie down for more ice time, and more situations, ie: power play Pk, etc. 

Yes EA has established this narrative that you are "the next Superstar"..... So what? ignore that and just "Be a Pro". what if you decide to play at superstar level,  and hey... You can't.. you just can't. it is to fast, to much skill... you go down. you go over seas to Europe. you play out your career with Cardiff... and you win chips there.. is that not just as valid a narrative? I say Lets earn it... how cool would it be to finally get an offer with an NHL club in year 4 or 5, or 9.... that is the intriguing narrative that they should implement!   My opinion

Echoing some thoughts from Bubbles2206 on a similar post and adding my own thoughts here and there:

1. I think it would be cool to add a little bit of the older perks back like hitting a guy into the glass and the glass breaking or like taking a slap shot here and there and the glass shatters. Also, I would like hitting a guy into the bench to be a thing again.


2. I also want to suggest a story like face of the franchise from madden. In be a pro I feel like it would be cool to add a thing where you could skate around a town and head to an outdoor rink to play 3vs3 where you play with the team your on vs a mix of players from other teams. Or you could skate around town to go to your practice arena or talk with coach or even talk with fans. I believe the NBA2k franchise does something similar. Just give us something new PLEASE!

3. I would also like to be able to practice with your team in Be A Pro mode. This would allow you to build chemistry/develop certain skills that actually require you to practice the skill in the game instead of just earning XP from a training session you never actually participate in.

4. In franchise mode to be able to make an online league and play with friends and manage different teams.


5. New celebrations. I feel like after a game is over the animations are the same over and over. Also before and after a game, I thought it would be dope to walk from the locker room to the ice and mess with teammates and get pumped up on the way.



6. I would like to add winter classic/stadium series games into the Be A Pro mode and be able to play the latest winter classic/stadium series as an option when you select Play Now.
