Been an issue since NHL 21 unfortunately. We have to usually dashboard and re=start the app when this happens. Drop-in the players just get booted. Known issue that was never fully fixed or addressed. Worst when LG games deal with this.
Isn't there kinda a way round this, something like choosing a private game in the dressing room, and then giving a spin for a time, and then returning back to public game? I think this won't kick the invited players out? Sometimes it seems that it helps if all the players un-ready their players too? Maybe.
This thing happened very often after customizing your build in the dressing room and then saving and trying to ready your player, I think? But sometimes it happens straight when I am invited to a game and try to ready. (It happened on PS4 NHL22 and now PS5 NHL23, but less frequently personally, might be just random thing though).
