As a jersey enthusiast, this design choice or graphical issue has bothered me for years now, and I'm surprised how no one has brought this up. Why does a lot of jersey fonts for most teams look off? Because the spacing between the numbers and letters are too far apart. And this is especially noticeable on teams having thin looking fonts, such as the Carolina Hurricanes, Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, and many more, just to name a few. If the goal is to make the game look realistic with the power of the next gen consoles (the PS5 and Xbox Series X), then why does the jersey fonts still look inaccurate (in terms of letter-spacing) after so many years?
