Reposting this now that we had the Game Modes "Deep Dive" trailer released, and @EA_Aljo said to reask if my questions weren't answered in that. It literally only went through one improvement in Franchise Mode and nothing else.Are there going to be female players in the draft pool now?Did you fix the ethnic issues in the draft pool (i.e. Chuck Walker being the name of French or Polish players being drafted, abnormal amount of white guys with Chinese last names and black guys with Russian last names, etc)?[one answered question omitted]Will custom teams be available in Be A Pro (presuming the last question's answer is the former)?Have you created new logos that match the names you offer or names that match the logos you offer? Matching mascot body parts?Must new teams be integrated at the beginning of the league or will they be able to be added in progressively (expansions at 3, 6, 10, 12, 14, and 18 years for example)?Are there multiple possibilities for how teams are handled for expansion, or will all teams have to be manually created with all players at the beginning [rephrased]Will there be commentary specific for the first female player(s) entering the NHL?Is this intended for a potential eras expansion next year? [NEW]

Sadly, that was what I feared and expected, that the NEW BIG FEATURE is only a start the save settings menu. And after that everything is the same....I`m not suprised, since when did EA implented something that was done fully and not halfdone (or trully tested by a real offline player).The change in settings is good, but not fully what it could have been.

@EA_Aljo I remember asking last year… can you please ask the dev team why we were locked out of editing players? We had simple mid career editing available in NHL 20… can you please ask why it was locked in NHL 21&22? And why it is still locked in NHL 23? We never did get an official explanation why it was locked… and all we’ve had is speculation and assumptions… a proper explanation would be appreciated..

Don't get your hopes up. They say stuff like this every year. Its not that they want to tempt you, its they don't want to answer anything that will make you not pay for the game.

I'm here for this statement @WildeBEAST32!With all the tech we get in all the other EA Games bring the game into the next phase, EA Hockey focuses on online play. I get it, that's the major draw for the game, and that's because they don't bring their "A" game. I mean EA Hockey is pretty much a Low Bottom 6 F.If they had a really good offline mode, they'd attract more players, but their focus is online gaming. Don't get me wrong, I love the online play, I just don't have time to dedicate to it anymore. I'll stick with NHL20, so I can fix the Franchise Mode Errors.... High Elite Center at 26, which a 68 in face offs, makes no sense... especially when they don't even have a second position... Also why do some Goalies show up as G/G.... They are a Goalie, but also a Goalie?

@VeronicatheCD Pretty sure Be a Pro has NOTHING added to it.. it was completely ignored in the video, and article… and I don’t think Franchise Mode addressed anything else besides the custom league addition…

Most likely, but I want to hear the answers. I like what they did, though I think there are other things they could do to make it better. Part of me fears that we will be cursed, if we have 48 teams, to the double instance curse where all the created players exist both as free agents and on the custom teams and we have not enough free space on non-NHL teams to place 16 teams worth of players for storage.

Yes it would definitely be nice to get some answers on the questions we have from @EA_Aljo because there is a huge lack of information on the so called “deep dives”… they aren’t actually deep dives lol they are just essentially glorified teasers… and does the omission of Be a Pro from the video mean it was untouched? Are any of the bugs fixed for Franchise Mode and Be a Pro? So many questions and have received so little answers….

I'm trying to get answers, but most of these will probably need to wait for release. As far as this one goes -

Unfortunately, teams are not expanded after the league starts.

@EA_Aljo Hopefully they do that in future years. But I cannot fathom why it would have to wait until release to answer the other questions unless they were hoping to get some of this done in time for release - so now I'm hopeful.

@Bahamuta They definitely would have mentioned it if we could… but EA doesn’t care enough about Franchise Mode to update it more than the bare minimum that has become the norm these past few years….. a settings menu for number of teams and number of games is literally all we got lol….
