Why are there players missing from the game? For example, the Habs don't have Kaiden Guhle or Arber Xhekaj and they are not part of Laval or their OHL teams...

Although daily or even weekly updates would be nice, I don’t think that’s quite necessary. I do think there are a few things that are must haves as far as rosters go though. To add to the convo you two have been having, I personally think there is enough evidence to suggest EA does have the player portraits much, much earlier than they are added to the game. If they actually don’t, an automated email set up at the beginning of the year to be sent to teams monthly as a reminder would take no time to set up. We absolutely need the ability to merge our roster edits (or edits from a roster share) with a new EA roster update. Allow us to transfer the changes we made to players to a new roster update that way we don’t have to re-edit every player when important players are added or draft picks traded. Speaking of that, allow us to move draft picks!!!Finally, there is no reason that roster update notes can’t be provided detailing what changes are made with each update.

Its every year the same process. Minimum one NHL game or the AHL Rookies need to sign a kind of waiver form till they could be added. The AHL Rookies who played some AHL games at the end of last Season did it with a PTO ( professional try out ) so not legit to add. For example, Brisson, Helleson and many others. New added black screen Player without a headshot Image are no fun. Expect a good Roster update not before mid, end of November.

@EA_Aljo Every year there is a thread about missing players and every year you gave the same answer. I know that you are totally right on license on some players, but each year there is also situations that prove that issue is not only about license but player who are missing because someone seems to forgert their existance. Take Kaiden Ghule and Ryker Evans. Both player are drafted and signed by their pro teams (MTL and SEA). Both player were in the game in the WHL last years. Both players were know to turn pro this year. But with the first roster in the game this year Guhle is in the WHL and Evans is missing. There is plenty of others exemples. This is not a license missing before their first nhl game this just slopiness on building the roster at launch. Xhekaj and Mysak both sign by MTL and in the OHL in the game last year. Both players know to turn pro this year. But in the roster we have at launch Mysak is in the OHL and Xhekaj is missing. BTW thanks for the good job in forum, I know is should not be easy !

@EA_AljoI found out why so many Players have no headshot Images all the years. Nothing to do with license, you have them all with the NHLPA license you bought. You simply use the Images from one year ago. You also did this Image work for NHL games long time ago, maybe spring every year. Thats why are so many Images missing and many have old pics from years ago. So no up to date work in summer for this, simply old. So once again ..... If your company is to lazy to add current new pics, let us do it in our custom Rosters. Luckily I didn't bought NHL 23.

@Caliboy6262_714 No, no. To force them will bring very small success. I had in player likenesses, headshot images some small success during the years. That last year Zegras and Knights headshot came in later after the release maybe my success. Same as some likenesses of Donato, Kotkaniemi. Never give up to give pressure. I know that they fixed the Hut problem during some hours and ignored all the massive bugs for offline modes. Sorry forgot, they fixed one. lol ;-) They going to destroy the game. Part after part, from year to year. My prophecy that the crossplatform for online will be the next desaster.

You dont find Guhle in the OHL because he played in the WHL but he is in the game. But yes Xhekaj is missing in the game right now

Xhejak will appear in the game as of the next roster update. Players who were drafted or signed by an NHL team need to have played at least one NHL game to be added (licensing stuff.)
fun fact, Xhejak was in the game last year because he was in the OHL, where they have rights to him. After being signed by MTL, they lose his rights until he plays a NHL game.

This Team never will give us a current Roster. About copyrights is one Thing, but If bring out a Roster every two till three, sometime four weeks you are always far behind. A current Roster you can have only with a daily update.

@rikdawg74 I wish they just had like US NE, US SW, etc and just threw in all the 16-22 year Olds in college. They don't have to add the colleges just the players and throw them on generic teams. I get it if it would cost too much but if they're making a full on college football game then how much could it really be? Most players would prob accept being added for free I would think.

Also is Šimon Nemec, missing from the game also? I never checked with Utica or Jersey but he wasn’t in the fantasy draft that I saw
