NHL23 Xbox Series X

Question

Every time in franchise mode when playing against the cpu when I pause my game and step away the cpu moves itself into the human player side. I can only control four out of five of my players because the cpu has taken my player away as the cpu. This is very frustrating because I enjoy playing this game but starting to want to never play an nhl ea sports game because I dealt with this same problem in nhl 22 &amp; 21. Please help me fix this issue so I can continue playing with all of my players when I decide to pause my game whenever I choose.&nbsp;

Hey there. This is really interesting. I haven't heard of that happening. Is a controller being assigned to that player also? Does this only happen when you pause? Unfortunately, there are no planned updates for NHL 23 so I don't see that issue being addressed.

Ok. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to suggest for this. It sounds like an issue with older versions of the game. I haven't heard of this happening with NHL 24 or 25. It's not something that would be fixed for NHL 23.

Ok.. will I guess I will speed up my regular season and play through the playoffs and start playing NHL24 and see what’s happens. Thanks for your quick response and advice. Stay tuned!
