Also try re-starting your console. Worked for me.
Does EA look at this at all? This just brakes the game for me.

I found this issue popped up with the most recent update (Feb 2023) for me on a PS5. Happens both on editing a player and/or creating a player. I've exited the game and rebooted a number of times. As others mentioned it works fine for the first player created/edited, then it does this for any subsequent edit/creation. Here's a pic and link to a video of the issue,
As usual, this team showed again they can't. Today played three games but only third periods ( other simed ) after a week break. This game is so boring and emotionless.
I'm having the same problem and it's infuriating.

By the way things are currently being ran. I would say a fix won’t happen until nhl 24 and even then it’s questionable.

as someone who loves to change my WOC goalie pads in between games this is making that impossible. would be great if i didn't have to restart my console every time i wanted to see a change.
For someone who buys the game for the only purpose to play franchise mode.
I got pretty deep and I like to edit all players I draft and stuff like that and this literally ruined the game for me.
incredibly disappointed but such an easy fix and something I have no clue how could have happened in the first place
So is there any update on this? I’m not even able to see the player I’m updating!
