Here is video evidence. Online versus.
My player is in full stride. My opponent is not in proper position to poke check. No penalty.
This happens a ridiculous amount of times a game.
Even when my opponent tries to spam aim assist poke to intercept pucks. Their stick constantly goes through not only my skates / legs but my teammates.

Thanks for the video. The reason there is no trip here is because the poke is on the outside of their leg. In your clip, the poke is made and the carrier then skates through the stick. The next time you take a tripping call, check the replay and you'll see what I mean. It's easier to see than explain. The stick needs to hit the skate on the outgoing poke without it missing and ending up on the outside of the leg.

Did you even look at the video? The stick goes THROUGH the leg. How can you have this much evidence of the game being broken and you still defend stuff like this?

I definitely get that. However, the stick is allowed to clip through objects and legs at times it wouldn't have an effect on the play. For example, you can't have the stick clipping through a player/object and still have it affect the puck. So, regardless of the stick passing through the leg, the same conditions apply to causing a trip.

Does the fact that the puck carrier is McDavid play any role here? Like an X-Factor or high attribute rating that would contribute to not being tripped here?
Because this is pretty wild to see not be a tripping call:

I understand that, but since the leg wasn't hit with the outgoing poke, a trip isn't called. The stick is fully extended by the time the leg is hit so it's not considered part of the outgoing poke.
- 3 years ago@NihilistWolfe Thanks for helping out. This happens far too often and the POKE SPAMMERS get away with far too much because of stuff like this. That’s a blatant trip call. I do have this happen constantly where the defender actually does make contact with the puck after spamming pokes through my legs and it leaves me BAFFLED.

I accidentally hit “accept as solution”
@EA_Aljo can you please revoke that? There is literally no solution and that was a terrible accident
thanks,
