@SnizzBarDizz2ohYou mean less then 3% of the playbase. Im sure they would be. There isn’t a market on pc for sports titles. There really never has been except racing.
also if it ever went to PC people would use controller so what would be the point?.
- 3 years ago@DeMiGoD1988 While I agree that we will never see EA NHL game one the PC in the future, I would disagree that there's no market on PC for sports titles. Football Manager is the prime example. FIFA sells pretty well on PC as well. Of course these are football games, so obviously easier to sell than hockey.
Also many current console players would move the PC version of the game it would be available.
But overall it's an unnecessary conversation as you pointed out, the PC version isn't coming. - KWRussell3 years agoNew Traveler
There absolutely is a market on PC for sports titles. It's being grossly underserved.
FIFA 23 and PGA Tour 2K23 are the only major PC sports titles that have Gen 9 feature parity. Madden NFL 23 and NBA 2K23 are half-assed Gen 8 ports. The NHL, UFC, and MLB The Show series don't get ports at all. I'm convinced that EA is shipping their upcoming PGA Tour game on PC only because 2K is. EA refuses to say whether the new College Football game is coming to PC at all, when they could confirm that at any time.
Do you seriously expect PC players to buy this year's inferior products to "prove their support" without any promise that next year's products will reach full parity with the Gen 9 versions? Or will they get canceled for "poor sales" because we voted with our wallets and refused to buy their inferior products? EA, 2K, and Sony are not entitled to one thin dime of our business. They have to earn it by shipping better PC games.

All I know is I want NHL on PC. Been having the same arguments for 10+ years now. Tired of debating. I just want the game on PC.
- 3 years ago@DeMiGoD1988 If someone will crack this game and can add all missing headshot images, better likenesses, yes would buy imediately for PC

guessing their worried that if they put a title out on pc and modders get their hands on it...the mods will correct a noticable amount of ai issues within the game and then nobody will buy another title like our friends still on NHL 2004....one decent pc release and theyll never get another pc purchase. not worth it.

People said the same thing about madden. It still gets released on a yearly basis for the PC now. I don't think that's as big of an issue as people make it out to be.

Oh yes, tell that to the large FIFA PC market. A market that grows every year, in part because people don't want to or can't buy the newest consoles. And do you know what grows with the PC market? The online presence. The twitch numbers go up. The Youtube numbers go up.
I have looked through every conversation on this forum on this topic and it seems to boil down to two things. People believing that the PC market is small, which is honestly pure stupidity, and people believing that NHL can't be as large as Madden etc. Hockey is like the third largest sport in the world. Football is the largest of course, by a mile, but Hockey is well up there with the big boys. The notion that NHL can't become a massive game in its own right is also rather stupid.
To me, it seems like the reason this hasn't happened is rather simple. The developers have grown stagnant, content, and scared of change. They don't want to make any large changes because they're afraid of losing the people they have while developing something else. It's a small risk honestly. The guy who keeps responding to these discussions always keeps mentioning that it's not that easy. While also saying that there isn't much graphical difference. Come on. This is not a small developer, it's not a indie developer. It's a AAA studio with resources to do this, but they're choosing not to.
Just because you have the newest console, can you seriously not see the reason people would buy it on PC? Are you so blind to everyone else and can only see things as they are in your life? Yes, people still play with a controller. But people play RPGs on controller a lot of the time too, they still buy them on PC. It's easier for a lot of gamers. Some buy it there because they say it runs better, because it's easier to mod, it usually has better graphics etc. It also simplifies the streaming process, and the recording process. Meaning a lot more people will put out content which will spread word of the game. Just the fact of it existing on steam would draw more people to testing the game.

Tout simplement, pour les joueurs pc comme moi,ne pas avoir à acheter une console juste pour un jeu. En plus, une manette pour pc ne coûte pas cher...

Madden is on PC, FIFA is on PC, NBA2K is on PC, MANY racing games on PC. PC is superior to any console on the market, and yes we have superior controllers too.
