Dumping the puck
What's the deal with the difficulty introduced this year with something as simple as dumping the puck? I mean, it's always been problematic, but this year, it's ridiculous that half the time your ska...

naw, they 'nerfed' the dump puck so that it acted more as a chip off the glass from the D-Zone. The problem with it right now is that it lacks velocity and basically doesn't respond to being 'charged up'. It's a slow lob and just needs to be tuned so it's a little more effective.
It wasn't designed to entice puck ragging for the pressure system. But that being said, the pressure system is garbage and needs to go.
@KidShowtime1867Heck yeah it does. Agreed. Just look at the HUT WC with Eki and all of them to see how abused this system is. It was a valid and appreciated effort from the dev team to try something new but I think it was a swing and a miss. Hopefully, EA Sports cares enough to pivot in the next game.
As far as the new "dump" goes, IDK about y'all, but when I chip the puck off the glass in my real-life hockey games, the puck goes HARD off that glass and goes either down the length of the ice or high up into the stratosphere where no one is going to jump and catch it.
Oh and while we're on the topic of saucer-passes. What's up with them? Why are they so low? Why can't we control the height of a saucer pass in this game? Why is the "auto-saucer" even a thing in this series? I feel like saucing is another thing that could be looked at for improvement. Laying sauce is one of the most satisfying things to do in IRL hockey. I feel like this game takes a lot of that satisfaction away and has relegated the saucer pass to something like a "through-pass" in FIFA. The good players mainly use sauce to do area passes in NHL24 as opposed to feathering passes over defenders' sticks.

Like this?

or this?

I've provided more clips here, demonstrating chipping the puck off the glass is effective, if executed properly.
@KidShowtime1867You could do this last year and previous years as well and you didn't have to go be so close to the boards to do it but you had to be more responsible of were to do it from and how high you tried to chip it off the glass or you would get a delay of game penalty if not done correctly, things that happen in hockey

Yes.
