From what I recall anything that is greyed out when we go to edit player is not able to be changed due to licensing. This applies to all real life players whether they have a face scan or even a profile picture.
@Beauts90 The licensing argument makes even less sense, because in NHL 06, you could edit every player in any way you wanted, sans the cyberfaces.
