How is the player right next to the puck carrier not in a position to defend? And if it's giving me the player who's in the best position to defend, why does it select my forward at the opponents blue line, instead of the player right next to the puck carrier?
I thought the quick switch gave you the closest to the puck.
No. It gives you the player that is in the best position to make a play on the puck. If you had switched to the player you wanted, chances are excellent you wouldn't have been able to do anything. Hitting is going to slow you down while they are rushing down the ice. Switching to the defender is a much better option.
- HurricaneFza2 years agoNew Hotshot@EA_Aljo but why does completely ignore the player in the middle? If it's supposed to give the player in best position, that would seem to be the player in the middle, not the player still inside the offensive zone. That doesn't make any sense to me.

Gee wouldn't it be nice to have icon defense choice the same as icon passing. it would not be hard to add - it is just an extension of icon passing but on the defensive end. You hold R2 and pick the icon you want and that player on the defensive team is selected.
