why do you not offer continuous overtime option for online play?

I thought you could do continuous OT if you playing a buddy in online versus?

I do not want continuous OT against randoms in online versus. NHL 18 or 19 had continuous OT during the real NHL playoffs and it never went away. I once had a game that went into triple OT periods and instead of half an hour took a whole hour. That was terrible. Continuous OT always in online versus would make it hard to sneak in a game on lunch break or in a short time.
