You need to shoot high scoring chance shots to score more.There are some good tutorials on youtube for how to create more scoring chances

Yet you can review the shots I took and well over 12 of them are Grade A scoring chances that would have a great chance of going in in real life and you just get goalie'd when your opponent literally just skates in and shoots from a wide angle and end up winning.

@COS_hunters ps. And almost 100% of those 40 shoots is high scoring chanses. The 1 shoot the opp has is NOT. But still 0-1. Explain it!

There are plenty of real world games where teams with less shots end up winning. Quality shots will be more successful than quantity of shots.

@EA_Aljo Hi Aljo, i didnt agree with COS_hunters but, also i dont agree with you about quality shots. Here i have two videos how i get goals from absolutly poor shots and then video, how i cant score big chances one also in full presure.. Lets talk about about high scoring chances once more :D This opponent was total bad, but somehow he didnt need chances he could shot by backhand and goalie/game decided, this will be goal after big chance :D Not even in high pressure. Not even talking about player AI, which just skate out of him.....

Scoring is a joke in this game. I have a catalogue of losses where you're outplaying the opponent and lose by 1. I can be in the low slot 15 times a game with a sniper and get walled each time. My opponent forces a cross crease through 2 defenseman and gets it off. It's back to backhand breakaways and forcing cross creases to score. Was hoping the pressure system would decrease this, but nah.

Couple things from that clip. Player to watch is #16, as I get off with JGP the auto switch to the next guy but I miss the door because of the speed, so I swap off to the defender because I don’t want to try and get 16 off and in turn mess up the D guy on the auto switch by skating up when they should be collapsing on the play. You’ll see a tired 16 come into the shot, which is why I stop playing to hit the line change again and in turn almost give up a goal.

Another aside is how much I dislike the AI. This is for the cpu side, their D man is on the rush and takes the shot, then instead of slaying to the loose puck and keeping possession… he just tries to get back?? It’s so annoying to see, and it makes me really dislike when D-men start leading the rush because their AI doesn’t keep them in the play they start thinking D first

I'm really not sure about the logic for manual line changes. As far as I know, they should change when you request it, but will also wait until it's more safe to do so. However, players will also change on their own when they get tired and there are times they won't head to the bench at the best times. I'm sure there's room for improvement here. I don't really see too many issues with line changes, but I also like to freeze the puck so I can get fresh legs on the ice and minimize those on the fly line changes. Thanks for the feedback on this.

@EA_Aljo Thank you for looking in on it. I’m assuming since the player is at least near the bench & the door itself that they would get off instead of going out of their way when tired to get back into the play

@COS_hunters There's just NO WAY you average 30+ grade-A scoring chances per game. I play against really good guys every day in online versus and even these dudes only get like 5-10 a game (if I'm playing poorly). I think your opinion of what constitutes a "grade-A" chance is off.

We can't say much more unless you start showing us footage of your games. I'd be willing to watch one of these games in which you feel like you got predictably robbed.

Also whoever mentioned "getting goalie'd" earlier in this thread is right as well. Sometimes, you can completely dominate your opponent and get those 5-10 UNREAL scoring chances and still lose 2-1. It's incredibly frustrating but it just happens.

@sirajs Your idea of what counts as a good shot and a bad shot seems to be almost backward lol. Since when are wrist/snap-shots from within the top of the circles NOT great scoring chances? One of them was by none other than CONNOR MCDAVID. So, of course, that's going to help as well.

One of your "bad chances" also showed a shot going through a double screen that the goalie picked up late... That's a GOOD scoring chance due to the screen.
