WOC/BAP Camera Angles Upgrade Request

[Update (1/4)]

With some fine tuning, the Be A Pro camera options that the game already offers (Low, High, and Fixed) could become the best camera angles in the game.

As they are now, I love some of it, but hate the rest. Why can’t the camera just be locked behind my player while maintaining focus on the play?  I mean look how beautiful and fun this is:

But of course, the video above doesn’t represent the full reality of the Be A Pro cameras.  Rather, the cameras swing in and out of position at random moments.  Most of the time, it zooms in behind the player once you have the puck, but not always; and sometimes it stays zoomed in even when you don’t have the puck (which I like), but again, not always.  It feels way too chaotic and can cause confusion.  I mean look at this video here which shows what it actually looks like to play with a Be A Pro camera (it’s all over the place):

Thus, I propose the following:

When you don’t have the puck (offense or defense):

  • The camera should stay behind your player the whole time with a focus on the puck so long as the player’s head can turn far enough to see the puck.
  • When the puck is out of view, the focus is simply in front of you, but you can use Vision Control to turn towards the puck again

When you have the puck:

  • The camera should stay behind you the whole time with a focus on the goal so long as the player’s head can turn far enough to see the goal.
  • The camera will stay behind you / turn with you when you use Vision Control, but will continue to focus on the goal so long as the player’s head can turn far enough to see the goal.
  • Holding RT/R2 for Icon Passing takes your focus off the goal and broadens to show your teammates that are in within your player’s head-turning field-of-view.  Teammates out of that field-of-view will be shown on the edge of the screen as off-screen indicators.

If these cameras are fine tuned enough, they could (and I believe should) become the only way to play World of Chel.

I like the Action camera, but there are way too many blind spots.

A camera much like the Action camera but more dynamic to avoid blind spots would be a very fun and immersive option.

Of course, the glass and other obstructions would disappear to accommodate for the angle.

And of course, this would only be a good option for when you are playing as a single player on the ice like in World of Chel.

These are examples showing what I mean.  The area outlined in green represents the area of play.

(Some of the angles are higher than I’d like but I couldn’t go lower with the camera in Instant Replay.)
