Community ManagerThe other sports games also have a significantly higher playerbase just due to the popularity of those sports. Hockey is more of a niche sport. While there are billions of PC gamers, a small fraction of them would be playing a hockey video game.
Yes and do you know why people don't want to play hockey game? Surely it's not because the quality of the only hockey game we have? Hell, even I am considering to stop playing and buying it going forward. My experience this year with the game has been worst in decade and that says something. The countless technical issues and when that wasn't enough EA sports dev team added lag to the gameplay month ago and still no word of if it even gets fixed. So no man, people don't want to play your game because it's so bad quality not because the player base is small. If you skipped a year on releasing it and solely focused on the quality of the game then released it polished your sales would skyrocket.
