Yes, I have the same issue when I get to later years... The salary cap does not progress compared to players salary requests.
It is not possible to keep at least a top 6 with newly drafted players, as the upcoming players already ask for a very high salary in the second contract.
Please adjust salary cap or adjust players salary requests... So it can be balanced and we can at least keep a top 6 with the players we would like to keep.

Here's what I've found out about this. What you're experiencing is actually intended.
That 92 overall player only wants 8% of the $120M salary cap as their initial contract extension ask. This is going to be higher than if they were signed in the off season. Also, performance is going to make a difference as well as interest from the organization and other factors. When looking at your roster, there are other superstars taking up cap space. What you're seeing is a likely projection of where the cap is going to go in the future. Of course, you can't pay everyone so you'll have to make some tough decisions. Like a real owner would.
I hope that explains what's going on here. Thanks for reaching out!- DistortedFuzz834 months agoSeasoned Traveler
It doesn't explain what is going on here because he said that the player salaries weren't the issue, the issue was that the salary cap only goes up maybe 2million each year which is unrealistic and doesn't reflect the salaries that you are trying to keep. The salary cap should go up quite a bit every year to keep up with the rising salaries which it does not ( i personally have had this happen in many franchises which after that i just start over) not that they are asking for this or that much, its that you salary cap never goes up enough to be able to match any of the offers... Hope that clears it up more? cause they had no issues with the players themselves asking for the money :)

We've had some complaints that the salary cap raises too quickly and asking prices are too high. It's possible this could change in the future. For now, you can turn off salary cap inflation and that should keep things more fair.

I’m not sure what you’re seeing. That 92 player is actually asking for more than 14m in the initial contract negotiation, at the start of the season. That’s around 12% of the salary cap and not 8%.
But even so, I’m ok if there is a percentage of salary cap that players demand, I just not agree that the salary Cap rise should be fixed at 2 m per season.I’m now playing with salary cap off, that way it doesn’t matter in the end.
Thanks
