Since launch I have dealt with consistent crashing while in game. Mostly during CHEL games but has happened in online versus as well as Be a pro. The screen goes black and I am sent to the xbox dashboard. Sometimes the console even shuts off. This is the only game that causes this issue. I can play other games for hours on end with no problem. This issue also seems to be happening more frequently as now I can hardly even finish a game without dashboarding. I have un-installed and re installed the game multiple times. I have factory reset my console. Nothing seems to work. I just want a fix for this as I love hockey and just want to play the game. EA PLEASE UPDATE YOUR GAME. I have searched the forums and see hundreds of people with the same issue

Aljo, my old buddy. We have had some interactions on here about this same issue. I'm not going to buy a new console just to play one game. I called xbox support about this issue and they said it can't be an xbox issue as this is the only game that crashes. Microsoft told me to contact EA so here I am again. Back where we started. I just want to play the game I paid for man. It's progressively gotten worse. I can hardly even get through a game. I played 5 EASHL games today and 4 crashed mid match. This is insane.

Been having this literal issue for the last 5 years worth of EA Games. And only EA games do this to me.

Hello. We've had some other reports of this. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to reproduce it ourselves. Without that, we can fix it. So far, one person fixed this by getting an external fan. Another got a new console. These are obviously extreme resolutions. So far though, it's looking like an overheating issue. We just haven't found what is causing that.

I would absolutely love to see this fixed. Hopefully, we can get it reproduced and make that happen. I know this is incredibly frustrating. In the meantime, the best I can recommend is to make sure your console is in a well ventilated area and the vents are free of debris.

It is well ventilated. I've also checked the console with my hand after crashing and it doesn't feel hot at all. Again this is the only game that causes this issue. It is 100% a software issue. Thats what Microsoft told me during our 45 minute conversation. A bug has persisted since launch and has yet to be fixed. 6-7 months? Still no fix. How can i confidently buy next year's game? Who knows if it will even be fixed with the next edition.

This is super frustrating all I want to do is play my player! The only way I have got it to not dashboard close game sometimes shut off the system is playing remote thru my phone (samsung s24 ultra) it is insane how long this games been out and it still does this!

I truly believe ea just doesn't care, they got your money and thats all they care about. I guarantee you if people either stop buying their games or contacted a lawyer and sued them they wouldnt say they can't reproduce the crash. You wanna reproduce the crash then buy a series x and play be a pro. Take money out of this greedy corporations pocket then they will care. You have to remember ea was the main game that promoted gambling to kids with loot boxes and they were sued for that then and only then did it stop.

Don’t you people realize this is a widespread problem. Existed last season and this season of NHL 25 it is far worse. Every night the game crashes to dashboard or turns off Xbox completely. Sometimes multiple times per night. It happens with NO other games. This has gone on for too long and it’s bs that you’re unaware of it. Very disappointing. It even does it in menus and not just in game. I use Xbox X digital version. Hi speed fan on. Please, please fix this. I won’t spend any more money on EA until this is resolved

I have reported this again. It's not a widespread issue, but there are more reports of it with the release of NHL 26. I have both a digital only and day one Xbox Series X. Neither crash. I did have a problem with overheating. Taking the cover off my console and cleaning it took care of that. I know that's not a fix for many of you though. Hopefully, we'll find out what is causing this and get it resolved. So far, we just haven't been able to reproduce it.

Why isn't there option to upload diagnosis right from the console when stuff like that happens. It's obviously happening to more people than it has before. If there was option like that I'm sure the devs would be able to fix it without need to actually reproduce the issue...

I know that would be great to have. Unfortunately, that's not the case. So, I need to gather the info I already asked for. A couple of people have sent over their details so that helps, but it would be good to get more.
