A few years ago. Define a few. Also this is also another example of an issue in the game and the fix is to remove something and just never look back.
No, it's not an example of removing something and not looking back. There have been bigger issues to work on.
Out of curiosity, are you doing this just for more authenticity? Typically, the backup is worse than the starter so there's not much of a benefit to replacing a starter with better ratings.

There’s times when someone scores like 3 goals on their first 3 shots so switching to another goalie sometimes helps as they may know that particular goalies weak spots or you can switch from a right handed goalie to a left handed goalie which can really mess with people as glove side is usually harder to score on and yes for authenticity as well. we have two goalies for a reason. I know it helps with synergies but being able to swap goalies in a one sided game can be beneficial even if it’s just mental comfort.

I see how changing up the handedness can throw someone off. That's not a bad reason. Also, 3 shots on 3 goals could be related to how defense is being played. Regardless, hopefully, we'll get this addressed in the future. Thanks for all the feedback!

Honestly. He was just flipping pucks in on my TOTY Hellebyuck as soon as he crossed the blue line. I am pretty good defensively. Most people are lucky to get more than 10 shots in a game against me. Sometimes they just go past the goalie and it would be nice to switch them out when that happens

I mean with ultimate team I have two goalies at the same overall. If my goalie lets in two quick goals from the top of the circle when they should be making the stop how is that due to lack of defense ?
We would like the option to change out goalies to be able to try and switch it up or change momentum. Kinda how the time outs have that effect in game.

Yep, exactly.

If someone is repeatedly taking shots from the same spot, that needs to be recognized so they can be defended. So, that can be a defensive issue. However, I definitely understand you might not be expecting the same shot right away again as opposed to someone repeatedly taking the same shot enough to recognize a pattern and defend it better. Regardless, swapping out your goalie for one with lower stats probably isn't going to help. Except in the case where their handedness changes and your opponent has a harder time scoring on from it.
Just in case you're saying there's some kind of momentum built into the game, there isn't. So, switching goalies isn't going to break that up.
I totally understand that just to be more authentic, you'd want to replace a goalie playing bad from the jump. I hope this comes back someday.- PJaxBear2 days agoRising Scout
Didn’t say anything about momentum, and both my goalies are rated the same. One is 6’6 other is 6’4. I just want to be able to swap goalies to change things up if one is getting scored on easily. Really, it’s something that shouldn’t have been taken out of the game. That’s like MLB with out pinch hitters or pinch runners.
