Franchise Mode is disappointing

Hi there. Appreciate all the feedback. As far as no changes to Franchise Mode goes, the focus this year was on Be A Pro. That mode hadn't received any changes in several years. I'm sure we'll see it get some attention in future games. Thanks!

EA can't work on more than one game mode by year? So, for Franchise mode players, no need to buy the game this year, right? This mode is identical to NHL 25.

EA_Aljo​ While I understand that, what I'm asking for isn't that demanding right? Enabling the option to change all coach strategies while editing lines and allowing us to play as as many teams as you'd like is already available in Season mode. I understand the staff size is alot smaller for NHL so I'm not going to be one of those people who gets mad because Be a Pro wasn't fixed AND you didn't add GM connected AND this and that and everything else. All I'm asking for is to add an option in franchise mode that already exists in the game. This is something that should be able to be done in a patch I'd hope, so I don't feel like it's asking very much in this case. 

Or at minimum, I'd appreciate more communication then just "well I guess wait for the next game, because Franchise mode isn't changing" because that feels lazy. Again I understand the dev team isn't able to do as much as they might want to, but you have to understand how dismissive your response sounds to players who have been waiting for actual sizeable changes to the single player modes.

This just isn't the way Franchise Mode is designed. All I can do is relay the feedback. Adding what you're asking for most likely isn't possible for 26 as it would be a pretty significant change and require diverting the team from what their working on for the future.

I'm not trying to be dismissive. The focus this year was on Be a Pro. The Be a Pro players had to wait several years while Franchise Mode received updates previously. We're going to have to wait to see what's in store for Franchise Mode in the future.

Absolutely no diss meant to Aljo cause he’s just communicating it. But I don’t think the team intends on working on other modes unless there is genuine game breaking bugs (or hut packs being too generous). I’ve submitted evidence of surface level bugs in franchise that were even in LAST years game and the message received was essentially the same here. Some being simple UI fixes and others being missing content that the mode doesn’t have for 0 reason such as goalie coach sorting tab in hiring process. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say whoever remade franchise last year is gone already because evidently they don’t know how to fix things that would take less time than reconfiguring artificial post shots. I’m glad I somewhat enjoy other modes because it’s shameful to call the game new and upgraded when some modes didn’t even get glanced at. I mean not even adding the new presentation to other modes is actually crazy, I can’t even think of another game to compare that to it’s so absurd.

I appreciate the response, but I guess my annoyance comes more from the fact that these changes weren't made in 25, 24, 23 etc. in the case of the multi team control and 25, 26 for coaching strategies. While I liked the changes that were made for Franchise in 25, it wasn't a huge shift or had massive amount of new features, so while it received updates, they weren't exactly anything special. If there was larger steps taken towards these asks in prior games, I don't think I'd be complaining about the lack of additions in 26. I've feel like I'm someone who has been more defensive of the games and have been less angry then most, but I think I'm getting a little tired of the waiting game I have to play with this series every year 

Also just to add on, while I can believe that multi-team control could take more time to implement and might be harder then I think it is, I don't believe for a second that the same can be said about changing coaching strategies. The options are visible in game, like I can see the sliders and everything all that needs to be done is to unlock them for the player to change. I'm not a professional game designer but knowing the little I know, that really shouldn't take that much resources to make that change in one patch.   

I absolutely appreciate all the feedback on this. Unfortunately, when it comes to making changes, rarely is it something as simple as someone might think. I definitely get how it's easy to make that assumption. I've been guilty of it myself. Hopefully, we'll see the kinds of changes you're looking for in future games.
