How to increase acceleration stat in NHL 26 be a pro?

Currently I’ve maxed out my acceleration trait and Im not understanding how to increase acceleration stat in-game in BAP.
 
Some of the in-game stat increases are obvious, for example scoring goals with well placed wrist shots increases wrist shot accuracy, laying successful hits increases body checking or pulling off successful dekes increases deking and possibly puck control? But for some other attributes it’s like grasping at straws trying to figure how to progress them.

It would be nice if there was a detailed breakdown on how to increase some stats in-game like acceralation, balance, hand eye, or aggressiveness. The most important one being acceleration as this is necessary to level up the wheels ability, and my acceleration has been stagnant for over 50 games.

Any feedback, tips or explanations would be greatly appreciated

    yes, I just did this too and what I did was rack up a ton of trait points during the off season (you get like 10-12 if you sim day to day and rack up 12 energy every two weeks) and when you’re ready to upgrade make your health exhausted and then apply your trait points to your speed and acceleration. once you make your health back to peak (make sure u have enough energy to do that) your speed and acceleration will be at least 93 minimum. this is such an awesome get around to using elite wheels!!!

    Correct. I have tried it few different times. One I was able to get acceleration 96. I just did another where I’m playing the memorial cup with 99 speed. It’s stupid how easy defense is.

    huge find i’ll have to try this. to be clear:  > drain to exhaustion in activities > once you’ve accumulated all your trait points after simulating day by day, apply the points whilst “exhausted” or before healing…. am i following correctly?

  • I figured out it! When you apply trait points to speed, acceleration, agility, strength, durability and endurance, empty your health meter completely to status of “Exhaustion”. All your stats receive a 15% penalty. Your trait perks then have a much larger impact to the lower rated stats. Raise your health back to peak and you will meet the requirements for Elite wheels and Elite edges. I played the Memorial cup with 97 speed before salary perks. Acceleration raised to 94 before the first preseason game. Agility should raise close 97 but I ran out of trait points.

    For agility you can do spin-o-ramas for agility exp. But it’s like only 20 per each one lmao. So you’d have to do thousands to bump it up.

    balance is also a trait you cannot directly upgrade. So you can’t get big rig to blue either.

    Yes, it's just flawed. There are lots of attributes you cannot increase in-game.

    I’ve read in multiple “sources” that the only real way of bumping up your speed and acceleration is through spending trait points and paying for salary perks. There isn’t an organic way like there is for other traits line you mentioned. And the real complaint I’m seeing this year has to do with the way the X-factors are implemented. The acceleration trait stalls out while an X-factor  like “wheels” requires the higher acceleration trait point, especially when you upgrade the X-factor. And if your health drops below “peak” you really get screwed.

    Same for agility… I’m maxed out trait tree and there is no way to get it above 90 (thus whenever I’m not at peak health I lose my all star xfactor)… this is incredibly flawed unless I’m missing something
