I understand this is a video game, not real hockey, so I’ve deliberately taken my ego and my self-perceived hockey IQ out of the equation. When something doesn’t go my way, I look first at the mistakes I’m making within the game’s systems and adjust accordingly. I then try to take those lessons and steer players here in a more productive direction.
By contrast, some players believe their real world hockey knowledge should dictate every outcome and that their stick skills are beyond reproach. When that belief is challenged, typically by players who are simply better at the game, they respond by lashing out at the developers, and anyone offering a balanced or positive perspective is immediately branded a “shill” or accused of “defending” EA. It’s a strange and unproductive reaction.

Penalties are non-existent? How so?
