Reporting poor team play

Playing woc with drop-in teammates I go in knowing the skills may very. I can enjoy hockey with just about anybody, however im disappointed to see I can no longer report players for sabotaging games. If I chirp their ear off they double down, if I message them I get reported with a strike from PSN. If I block them only Im safe from their poor sportsmanship, not their next teams. [REMOVED] spent 30 minutes doing their best sabotaging a ranked game, consistently calling for the puck, shooting the puck back into out zone and going offsides intentionally. Luckily I was paired with a defenseman that messaged me "lets just carry this guy" and we did just that, in a painfully grueling long game, we won in overtime playing a 3v3 hockey game that was actually 4v2. What's more frustrating is i couldn't report him for his poor behavior after the game, please bring back the report sabotaging games function, PSN has a play a team game rule in their code of conduct but ask to report that behavior in-game.

Edit: Removed player ID according to the "name and shame" rule. -CM

  • Hey there. I'll pass on the feedback. I don't recall ever having a report for sabotaging games though. We've always just had the option to report player and club names. I agree we could use better anti-griefing measures though.

  • For all the devs and people who clammored for drop ins in the first place - You're honestly gonna just sit there with a straight face and tell us you didn't see something like this happening?

A player who has 0 affiliation for your custom team of friends is gonna try his best to help you strangers win at all costs? You think trolling is a myth and that someone wouldn't dare double down when called out?

Like I got a week mute for calling someone out and I'm the bad guy lol. 0 reporting tools, no way to boot a player from the team. Exiting out of a matchmake forcing you to reset the whole process, the adding lag factor, etc. You don't need a crystal ball to look years into the future, I just wish you'd look even two steps ahead

We are recently experiencing people writing to us saying how much we suck. We never talk to opponents. People are writing to us after winning! This is something else, EA can't do much about that. But how depressing our socitey have become.

People using evidently racist name while naming my player "Alex Kovalev" won't pass ! I swear, LOL!

People saying we are gonna be the 51st state after BEATING us on a hockey game.

I repeate, win or lose we NEVER initiate conversation. Some sick people in this world...

The end (of playing online) is coming.

(sorry this isn't about NHL, I know...)

give me a lyft/uber rating! EA_Aljo ! i agree that in general, someone might not be as motivated to help strangers. But i am! and if i had a Team Play free agent rating that clubs could see in the dressing room, they could decide pre-game whether or not to let me play with them!

my club doesn't take in free agents when we play, because we can't trust them! and when we're not playing Club, i like to play in other teams' club games, to help them win, and get better.

if we had a team play rating (which  is voted on by the club that is hosting the free agent) then maybe people will play better??

Fair enough I've been wrong before. Probably had the same complaints years ago just never took it beyond the console. Ive said im done with drop-ins a million times but im addicted to puck. Thanks for the response hope the team figures a way to make that happen.

yeah you have to block out a lot of the noise. turn off the settings in messages that allow ANYone to message you, only friends (or friends of friends). it sucks that toxicity exists at the levels it does today, online.

Yeah, I'm gonna do that (block any message except from friend). Didn't know it was possible.

It's coming offline. Look at the (online ;)) news.
