Roster disasters

What in the heck? I intentionally restarted my BAP season (meaning I deleted and started over) once the Oct 20th rosters were released so my BAP started with current rosters. I'm in the third preseason game as a member of the Dallas Stars.

Rasmus Ristolainen is on the Dallas Stars. Real life he's never played for the Stars, he plays for Philly.

Luke Hughes is on the Winnipeg Jets. One of the famous Hughes brothers. Never played for Winnipeg. He plays on the Devils.

This is just 3 games into the pre-season and already very egregious errors. These aren't minor league players that could be mixed up.

And I haven't even started the regular season to see how much worse it's going to get.

My theory is because you start back in Jan of 2025 and I believe Kane is a FA, so when the offseason comes, he signs with Chicago who has the cap space. I If you are trying to figure out how to start a BAP and go thru progressions and start with a fresh Oct 20 Roster? It cant happen. You will have better luck getting a date with Sydney Sweeney.

If you want to start BAP with Kane being with his real team, then you must begin your new BAP already in the NHL. No other way.

I've started be a pro 15 times now (I'm doing tests, this year's game is already over for me) and for some reason Patrick Kane has been traded to Chicago in almost every one of them. I don't actually see any trades (which would be nice to see!) but he's been playing there since the beginning of the season. 😁

How did you restart your new BAP? Did you start back at the World Jrs or did you begin already in the NHL?

If you started over with the World Jrs, then the tourney, the draft and offseason and you got your player ranked up to a 75 or so, the game went back to the default roster.

However, if you want to start with the current Oct 20 Rosters with the current players on the current real teams, then you must select begin in the NHL where you will be a measly 68 and start in the Pre Season.

There is no way that you can do the World Jrs, Tourney, draft and 1st offseason and start with the current rosters.

I'm about to lose my fracking mind. The whole reason for me doing BAP after the Oct 20th roster update was Matt Dumba. Can't stand the guy. In real life he's with Pittsburgh now. Finally off the Stars. In NHL 26, even after the OCTOBER 20TH roster update, still with the Stars. So I went through World Juniors, Memorial Cup, 4 preseason games, just to find out that EA can't even figure out what players are on what teams.

EDIT: So there are 3 players on the Stars in NHL 26 that aren't on the Stars in real life. Dumba, Ristolainen, and some guy named Hemming. Not to mention the Luke Hughes on the Jets. SMH
