Hey Devs,
Just wanted to see if there is any progress made on a toggle for the voice chat overlay. I play cross platform with friends and have to use in game chat.
When playing 6s it is very tough to play RW or RD with the overlay covering my player.
An option to turn this off/reduce the size would be an optimal patch item for quality of life.

Yes. It’s awful. Nobody asked to make it bigger. These are the types of things that make people wonder if they actually think or care about the quality of life in this game . It’s been the same since I’ve started playing chel in nhl 2017. This year it changed to be much bigger. It’s really hard to see the right side of the ice. It’s as if they made it this was to force you to use discord chat. Did discord bribe EA to make it bigger to increase discord usage?? That’s half a joke but literally the only reason I could see why they’d change to be so awful.
Have you not played with VOIP in game this year? They changed it and made it bigger and more egregious. Its really bad if you play 6s.
Hasn't changed for quite some time so I dunno what you're looking at. Regardless, the fact that anything like that is there at all blocking an important piece of real estate is egregious
'14? It was never this bad where the voice chat makes it so you can't see much going on on that whole right side.
Gotta just get used to it mate; this has been an issue since '14 though they don't see it as one (at least nowhere near a high priority)
They aren't going to do anything about it this year. The person who made that change clearly has never played a game of NHL.
