WOC Boot Drop Ins?

Another good example, had another drop in LD that literally cost us 3 goals by playing behind the opponents net in the O zone and was hitting random people without the puck and giving up several minutes of penalties throughout the game. For someone costing us the game like that, we should be able to do a vote-to-kick. Especially as club members to a single drop in.

Preposterous. Allowing clubs to fill a full roster of humans was EXACTLY what clubs needed. Of course, in typical EA fashion - it was executed incredibly poorly with no tools for club captains to boot a player. 

EA's shareholders and producers insist that they don't want players' online experience ruined by a team captain who may just "not like" the drop-in player and will "abuse" a boot mechanic. 

Meanwhile, griefers are allowed to continue their attention seeking behaviour unfettered, ruining games for legit players every single day.

It's time EA gives the community the tools to police their lobbies themselves if EA is not going to do it.

I don't quite understand how the continued coddling of trolls is somehow supposed to translate to a better online experience. 

I also never understood the balance here, in a game that can be easily ruined by one guy. 

If I'm playing HD2 and a guy drops in and shoots me deliberately, I just kick him. Immediately and without preamble. No votes, no 50/50 split because he has a trolling buddy. Just gone. Bye! It's wild, but as a result, there's very little toxic troll behavior in HD2, and if there is, it lasts 10 seconds. 

Cut to a game of drop-in where the LW has been tapping for the pass for 4 minutes straight, and when it doesn't come every single time he just skates around offside the whole game. I've genuonely witnessed the other team's Dmen trying to push a trolling forward back onside so the game can continue. It's impossible. Less egregious, but people also just pick SKT so they can get in a game faster and then just do whatever they want. I absolutely guarantee more games have been ruined by a D playing 4th forward than games have been saved. I say bring back benching players when their position score gets below a C. Yeah, you shouldn't have to force people to play hockey in a hockey game, but.. you do. 

I absolutely hate when there is one guy in the team who just doesn‘t give a **bleep** or they play so selfishly and try so hard to make a trickgoal and then when it goes backwards he just stays in the offensive zone and doesn‘t move anymore. In such cases I would love to have a Kick-Voting-System. But also for the ones who pull the goalie out for no reason.. 

Hey, everyone. I'm in agreement with you all. I know how frustrating these players can be and I wish we had a system for kicking them. I assure you, I'll pass this feedback on to the team. They are aware of these requests already. It would require building a new system to add this feature. It's not a quick and simple thing to do. So, if it were to happen, it wouldn't be with 26.

I'm curious though. Would you all think this should have a higher priority than updating other issues the community is asking for? Better gameplay, presentation, adding new modes, etc. The reality is that if the priority on adding this changed, it means something else would be delayed. Just something to keep in mind.

Players going offside a lot should eventually be dropping their teamplay score enough to get kicked. But, if that player does something to raise it, they'll be kept in the game. It's annoying for sure. I truly wish we had a better way to handle trolling. This behavior just frustrates people and pushes them out of the mode. It's also why I do my best to only play drop-ins with clubs since that's normally a much better experience. I know that doesn't fix this. It's just been a good alternative.

I would say that adding a kick option for team captains is less ambiguous than "gameplay" updates and more targeted. So, in terms of prioritization, I'd say yes because there's an obvious fix to this issue whereas general gameplay and presentation updates are mired in varying opinions, discussion and the feedback will never end. 

As MostlyHubris​ has correctly pointed out - this (adding a kick option for team captains) would begin a shift in the mentality for many drop-in players to become a better teammate and provide less incentive for being a troll. Because right now, being a troll and having every game centered around your behaviour gets you the same XP regardless, and that needs to change or the poor behaviour will continue to ruin the experience for your most dedicated customers. 

I mean, as much as I’d like to see connected GM again, I personally spend more time on WOC clubs. Therefore, this would be a great system to have. Usually my team has a set of 5, but we aren’t all on at the same time, so drop ins usually get placed with us. Sometimes they are bearable, but like others have said, it’s usually a D man we are missing and a drop in just gets into a slot for defense to play whatever they want to play- usually ruining it for our team. I get it if we’re playing straight up drop ins MODE, but when we are in CLUBS, there needs to be a system to get these kids out. I really like the idea of team captains (C & As) being able to boot someone- that feels pretty fair. In clubs, at least.
