NHL 26 Crashing

I’m currently in franchise mode and I like to play the games manually. I have a few created players in the franchise mode as well, but no created teams. The game won’t even let me get through the first period of the first game of the 25/26 season without crashing. I simmed pass the first game and I’m still having issues with the second and third games of the season. I’m a big fan of the game, I’ve been playing since NHL 13 and this is the first time I’ve experienced this issue. Not sure if it’s a bug or if there’s something wrong with my copy of the game. I play on Xbox series x and bought the digital version of NHL 26.
