There needs to be an option to report people for griefing.

I do not understand what is going on with HUT Champs this week but 4/10 games have had people griefing. Either scoring on their own net and icing the puck over and over again to drag the game on, sitting behind their net and shooting the puck into the bench or scoring one goal and sitting behind their net for the rest of the game.

I want to love this game but it’s unbelievable that there is no option to report these things. Completely ruins the gameplay experience for everyone. Stop releasing $80 packs and focus on there actually being consequences for griefing.

I agree these games are incredibly frustrating.  I will again relay this feedback to the team. Thank you for keeping it constructive. So much here doesn't get reported due to ranting rather than staying constructive. Much appreciated.

  • So valid feedback and criticism doesn't get reported because people report it in an annoyed manner?

Correct. Chances are excellent what they're commenting on has already been reported, but the messages that make their way to the devs are detailed and constructive.

The passion you all have for the game is appreciated. I feel the same as many of you as well, but when it becomes more of a rant, that's not really very useful feedback since it's more about venting than telling us what you like/don't like about the game. Just saying the game is bad and throwing in some rude comments isn't exactly good feedback.

Respectfully, does the team even listen to feedback from the community? I can only imagine how frustrating your position is and I don’t mean for this to come off as an attack but it feels like all of the criticism from the community is either ignored or given an awful response (TOTY for example). I understand it’s a business at the end of the day but it just feels like money is their only focus rather than their consumers enjoying the game.

The developers and content team needs to be more vocal with the community and explain things. They basically only communicate directly to content creators or we have to wait for a response from you which I think is not fair to the community or you. Not all players go on the EA forum, HUT Reddit or watch HUT content creators. Great example, all previous years in HUT 99 overall fantasy players had 99 speed, now they all won’t and it was only communicated to content creators that it wasn’t a mistake. Why was this changed? Why weren’t these changes communicated to the community when the Fantasy event was released? It’s just simple things like this that frustrates the community and drives people away from the game as months go on.

  • Fair enough. Then would you be able to relay to them the frustration that a lot of us are feeling about Chel Weeks disappearing for 3 months after being released once per month? Obviously there's rumours about a certain tournament that's a bit strict with their copyright, but it feels like there's a lack of transparency. The timing of it also doesn't help that frustration since they were last released just before Christmas which is when I'd imagine most sales of the game that would happen have happened by.

I really don't mean to be rude with any of that by the way, so I hope it isn't coming across that way.

That's all very fair. I understand how you feel. So, the devs don't interact any longer. There was a time they did, but due to community backlash, they stopped. It would be great to see more communication and I know that's something we want to do.

As far as 99s and attribute ratings go, there is no rule saying that every attribute needs to be 99. The OVR is 99, but that doesn't automatically mean they get 99 speed. It's entirely possible there will be 99 speed items in the future. The current ratings are a design decision though and that's not based on how those items were treated in previous games.

I don't believe we ever said there would be a specific cadence for Chel Weeks. I get that there's the expectation, but that we never committed to a monthly Chel Week event. It's possible it'll return. We'll have to wait and see if that happens. Obviously, there is very little advanced notice of future events. Which, is how it's always been.

Appreciate hearing that. These forums can get pretty salty and I can understand why. You stand the best chance of your feedback being heard when it's constructive.
