There needs to be an option to report people for griefing.

I think the reason people wanted a salary cap in the first place was to try to even out the playing field against the whales, but instead, salary+ovr+ap combos are designed specifically TO appeal to the whales. Massive boosts to TOTY, Fantasy, obvious meta builds. It's not like they haven't heard this feedback, and it's not like pivoting away from this mid-season or mid-game cycle is some impossible task. 

Again, the frustration is absolutely understandable. I'm just saying, that feedback is far better received when it's civil. That's all.

With all due respect EA_Aljo​, people are rude because they're frustrated. They haven't been heard for years. 

I fully get the frustration. Just saying, nobody likes being talked to rudely. Being constructive is actually taken seriously. Inserting rude comments doesn't have the same impact.

Run a survey on how community likes the various things added and get feedback that way? A short survey thats anon.. I bet you'd get good feedback that way. Why not do that? Cause you know that majority of answers will go against what you guys do.

I'm pretty sure there's an survey done by email every year. You wouldn't get that if you've opted out though.

Buggy gameplay driven by the awful X-factors. X-Factors were the start of downhill trajectory for EA as a whole. The amount of unrealistic goals people score is mind boggling. The goalie animations? brutal. Cards can be useless due to their x factors. I play in a no perks league on WOC. Brings back the good ole days. Or at least a no perks game. But OP X-Factor? Money Grab!

I personally loved the no perks era. But, we got a ton of complaints about how people wanted customization and there was nothing to play for. 

How much trouble are you having playing against McDavid and Jean Spectre? I assume those are the OP builds you're talking about. While they seemed pretty scary at first, they've not been terribly difficult to defend against. The real threat is a team with skilled players and good chemistry. Your chances of winning based on build alone are pretty slim. It takes someone with the skill to use them to really be successful.

Line combos and salary... Great idea but you guessed it, another money grab. Relates to the LTD thing... Need to make every event card by spending a multiple hours each week doing mindless chores. Do you not realize the economy we live in where people need 2 jobs to survive? Heaven forbid they can come home, play 2 games and log off. Not have to play countless hours for virtual hockey cards.

We had requests for salary cap in the past. I also saw positivity around line combos early on. I know there are those of you not fond of these mechanics. The best I can tell you is that the feedback is getting back to the team. 

Moments are just straight up comedy and I dont find them that hard, but again just mindless chores with the same objectives every week for the same mediocre at best rewards? Frustration to buy packs.

I definitely know Moments can be very frustrating. I agree nobody wants to do chores. I'd probably still be playing HUT as well if it didn't feel like that. I used to build my team based on SB rewards. Definitely miss that.

Again, back to what I was saying before, it's more about how you and your team plays than what build you're using. Those builds are also unlocked for free as part of the season pass.

I can go on and on. And if this comes off as rude, I am sorry but the frustration with everything and no feedback being given is astounding. We just want a game that's not insanely frustrating to play. Endless chores to do. I'll only buy this game to play organized leagues like the BBHL where the game actually feels like a hockey game.

Feedback is relayed very frequently. I'm just saying you stand a far better chance of being heard if you keep it civil.

With all due respect buddy and I really do mean that. 

Why should people not be able to rant when they've paid good money for a game that was advertised as having issues fixed from the previous year which turns out to be a fib. 

I'm sure there is many people out there like myself that at release were kind of pee'd off at things not being fixed but thought it would be fixed by at the most the end of 2025. 

Its 2026 and the gameplay fixes have been non existent. People are rightly annoyed and its only fair that the dev team take the flack for it, especially Mike, the one that told porkies in the promo.

Here are some honest feedback points and the common theme that comes with them:

-Menus are terrible. Have been for years. Has been communicated and no improvements. Super slow and animations when completing sets are a joke. Takes people hours to do capain/icon sets. Why? Go buy the packs in the store. Spend your money. Money Grab!

-LTD cards... WOOF you say you got a lot of backlash on that? i wonder why... Cause its a MONEY GRAB.

"Due to community backlash" it was literally only a few people, the vast majority was respectful.

Couldn't have said it any better. The game is a waste of time really. I can't do HUT. Just some BBHL barebones league where i dont have to deal with the X-factors.

When a significant amount of the feedback is negative, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just listen to the feedback even if some of it is rude and attacks towards them. If they’re in this line of work, they should expect that kind of feedback and shouldn’t hide from it. Like I mentioned, it’s the internet at the end of the day. Every gaming community is toxic in its own way especially in sports games. 

It's not that this feedback is never seen. Most likely, it's already been reported by someone else that wasn't giving it in a rude manner. Regardless, there's always a focus on community feedback along with the team's own choices on what gets added, updated and fixed.

There's still several months left in the lifecycle of this game. It's entirely possible we'll have more Chel Weeks. 

I appreciate the response. It’s really unfortunate that it’s gotten to this point and I can see why they don’t engage but I strongly feel if they want to build a better rapport with the community, communicate is needed. The internet is always going to be a negative place and while I have no experience in game development, the backlash is something to be expected when content is not being enjoyed by the community, especially when some of the content is received poorly and justifiably so.
