Add Blacked-Out Bauer FlyLite Skates, Expand Hairstyle Customization and Update Player Models
NHL 27 has made progress in equipment authenticity and player customization, but there are still several noticeable omissions and inaccuracies that should be addressed in future updates.
ADD THE BLACKED-OUT BAUER FLYLITE SKATES
Please add the blacked-out version of the Bauer FlyLite skates to NHL 27.
The game already features the standard Bauer FlyLite skates and the custom white-out version, but the blacked-out version is also widely used throughout the NHL and is currently missing from the game.
It is difficult to understand why the white-out version has been included while the blacked-out version has been overlooked, especially considering how common this look is among NHL players.
Please add the blacked-out Bauer FlyLite skates as a separate, selectable equipment option, accurately reflecting the real-life design. Players should be able to choose between the standard, white-out and blacked-out versions.
EXPAND HAIRSTYLE CUSTOMIZATION
Hairstyle accuracy is another area that needs improvement. Several prominent NHL players currently have hairstyles that do not accurately reflect their real-life appearances.
Wyatt Johnston’s in-game hairstyle is too long and should be shortened. Connor Bedard’s hairstyle is too short and should be longer. Zach Benson’s hairstyle is too long and needs to be adjusted, while Alex Nylander’s hairstyle is too short and should be updated to better reflect his actual appearance.
These are recognizable NHL players, and accurate player likenesses are an important part of the realism NHL 27 aims to deliver.
More importantly, why can we customize facial hair but not hairstyles? If players are given the ability to customize facial hair, there should be an equivalent option for hairstyles.
Players frequently change their hairstyles throughout the season. They grow their hair out, get haircuts and change their overall appearance. Without hairstyle customization, these changes cannot be reflected accurately until an official roster or player-model update is released.
Please introduce a hairstyle customization system that allows users to select from the available in-game hairstyles for created players and, where possible, scanned players in supported game modes. This would also provide a solution for players who currently have generic hairstyles that do not accurately represent their real-life appearance.
IMPROVE THE ACCURACY OF NHL PLAYER MODELS
Please prioritize updates to the hairstyles and appearances of prominent NHL players, including Wyatt Johnston, Connor Bedard, Zach Benson and Alex Nylander.
These players should have more accurate hairstyles and player models that reflect their current real-life appearances. When a player has a scanned face but an inaccurate hairstyle, it takes away from the overall authenticity of the model.
THE OVERALL REQUEST
NHL 27 already has a strong foundation for equipment authenticity and player customization. Adding the blacked-out Bauer FlyLite skates, introducing comprehensive hairstyle customization and correcting inaccurate hairstyles for prominent NHL players would be meaningful improvements.
These additions would give players greater control over authenticity and allow the game to keep up with the constantly changing appearances of real NHL players.
Please consider implementing these changes in a future content or roster update. Accurate equipment, realistic player likenesses and meaningful customization options make a significant difference to the experience, particularly for players who value realism and attention to detail.
