Bug: Game freezes when playing against TOTW in offline Squad Battles

Product: NHL 22
Platform:Xbox Series X
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play an offline game versus the Team of the Week in Squad Battles.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game loads, but immediately freezes once the overhead view of the ice appears.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the normal intro with the announcers speaking. This does not happen & the entire game must be quit. When I relaunch the game, Squad Battles shows a 0-3 loss & I do not have the option to challenge the Team of the Week again, thus forfeiting the double points bonus.
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Offline

The game has completely frozen during 3 out of 4 attempts to play against the TOTW in offline Squad Battles. After restarting the game, I am given a 0-3 loss & forfeit all the potential points. While I would like for the game to not freeze at all, why are we not able to challenge the TOTW again for 500 coins like we are able to with normal opponents?

    Hello, @FilipForceberg 

    You should only get one chance to play the TOTW. Are you saying this is happening every week or were you somehow able to play the TOTW multiple times?

    No, I am saying that the game freezes when trying to play the new TOTW for the first time. It has happened 3 out of the last 4 weeks. The game loads & then freezes as soon as the ice is visible -- no announcers speaking, warmup footage, etc. I am forced to hard quit the game from the Xbox menu & restart. When I return to Squad Battles, it shows I have lost the game 0-3.

    My questions is: why are we able to replay games that we have lost against normal opponents for 500 coins, but not in this situation? Ideally the game would not freeze at all, but it really sucks to lose out on the 2x coin bonus because this game is fundamentally broken.

    The freeze occurs as soon as the loading screen transitions to the game.

    What troubleshooting would you recommend?

    @FilipForceberg 

    Try clearing your alternate MAC address with these steps:

    Go to your Xbox One Settings (Just press Start, then click Settings)
    Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
    Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

    Not random. Same as above person. As game is tying to load. Just see the ice before game then freeze

    What system are you playing on? Also, is the game installed on an internal or external hard drive?
