I hope that we get a patch soon for 22 that allows us to make helmetless players for offline mode.I make classic rosters and it SUCKS having to put a helmet on players that NEVER wore one like Bobby Orr

We'll try our best to get an answer on whether helmetless players will be a feature this year. Keep in mind these forums are a channel to vocalize requests, concerns, and chat about the game. This is one channel among the variety the team uses to help steer them in the direction they want to go with the game. No all suggestions may come to fruition. We'll do our jobs as Forum Community Managers to keep the devs filled in on what the community is chatting about so they're constantly in the know.

Completely agree. Also please let us add the vintage masks to our created goalies so we can create missing legends like Ken Dryden.

It is definitely frustrating because I can't imagine it would be a very complicated thing to implement. It requires no additional assets, and the option to have a helmetless player is already in the game in the World of CHEL game mode. The models for vintage goalies masks are also already in the game, so I fail to see what the issue is. This seems like something that could be done quickly and done in the latest patch.

Is there any plans to release a patch that will lets us create players without helmets for offline modes? Its 1 of the last absolutely needed features we would like.Thanks.

Was watching Slapshot last night in Netflix. How cool would it be to make the Charlestown Cheifs and everybody from that team?
Creating helmetless players would lets us do that.
Also be fun if we could add fun things like glasses, black eyes and no front teeth for the players.
Then we could make movie hockey characters like the Hansen Brothers n Trailer Park Boys

@Atishksingh I am following one of the groups but I'm not aware of the one with all the Alumni players. What is the name? Thank you! Thanks re: the name suggestion. I already used Barbario for Vinnie Barbarino from the Welcome Back Kotter team. Horseshack was my favorite. LOL

I think Burrows also works as a play by play name for Barrasso.

For goalies whose name is not in play by play I just use 'Goalie'.

@SvenArne123 Thanks! Yes, I decided to use Goalie for Barrasso as well. Funny that his name was not in there. However, to EA's credit, there are a lot of names in there that were missing in NHL 21. Ciccarelli for one! 🙂

I think there are play by play names like Goalie, Center and Wing available but no Defender.
